The good news for the Saints is they have room to move more than $100 million in salary-cap costs into future years without cutting any current players if they don't want to. Obviously, they'll have to deal with those charges in future seasons. But this has been a common practice for the Saints over the past decade under general manager Mickey Loomis and vice president of football administration Khai Harley -- and it has become more common throughout the league after the COVID-19 pandemic lowered the NFL's cap by nearly $16 million per team in 2021.

This is why I laughed when all the experts on here were so concerned about the saints salary cap. The QB position and finding skilled players at wr was always my biggest concern for this offseason

No doubt.

In another life....I would have been a chef and on those shows...LOL
Weighed myself the other day.

189.4 pounds. Not too shabby. As much as I talk about food....I know some of y'all must be thinking I am tipping the scales at like 300 pounds. LOL.

Since it's food related....been thinking about those Charmin or Cottonelle flushable wipes for those times when I am fighting for my life and normal TP just won't cut it.

That’s part of the impact of the cap. You’d like to see them get 25-40 million under yo address those needs. Now they have to rob Peter to pay Paul just to stay same same when they are in need of roster improvement in those key areas you cite and they’re expensive unless you get lucky with young cheap talent.

Michael Thomas coming back helps. If Jameis is back, i may lean towards another WR with the 1st round pick instead of QB
