Not fair to judge them that way. Someone getting a spot start with little preparation is much different than having an entire offseason getting 1st team reps. Also the coaches can pit together a nice system to play to that qb strengths

How's it not fair to judge them that way? If I were to take Jordan Love, give him a full offseason with the 1's this upcoming year, I'm pretty sure the Packers would be hard-pressed to win 5 games. You're making it sound like the only thing separating Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers, in this context is practice time. I can assure you, it's a bit more than that.

There is a huge difference with being told you're the starter on a Tuesday or Wednesday because rodgers got covid and preparing damn near 6 months to be a starter.

He's not Rodgers but doesn't mean the pack can't be competitive with him. Would i expect 12 to 13 wins and a title contender? No but 9 or 10 wins and a wildcard team would be fair expectations assuming they keep the other key pieces

Seems to me that if the Packers thought they could win that many games with him...they'd let Rogers walk. Especially now that he wants to be the highest paid player in the league and wants it to not be close (which from what I heard today...means the $50 million range).

They have 2 good backs, arguably the best wr, and a good defense. A game manager at qb in that weak division can get them to 9 wins

If Love starts 16 games I would take under 7.5 wins with the same roster.

And you keep forgetting, next to the Saints (this is not meant as a dig towards your team), they have the worst salary cap situation that they have to navigate through this offseason. They're going to lose pieces and not exactly be as strong as they were this past season. For Green Bay, this was likely their last real shot at a Super Bowl.

You brought up that I couldn't properly evaluate Love because he only started one game against KC; so you can't exactly evaluate Love as a QB that could be a game manager. If Rodgers bolts, you can't say he'd be the strongest QB in the division, he may be the weakest.

Restructure contracts easily help cap situations without needing to get rid of players. They already restructured 2 players to clear 14 mil

would also be fair to expect 4-5 wins. Last time they lost Rodgers for an extended time, I think they went 3-8.
