Trust me as a Washington Commodes fan.

Watching playoff losses is far better than being completely irrelevant.

And that is what the Packers will be if Rodgers leaves.
I'm in that territory now, bud. We've been to the playoffs I think twice in the last 15 years, and haven't even been close in either playoff loss. Give me an asshole for a QB everyday over irrelevancy.

IMO, Rodgers is one of the few players with the cache to force a team's hand. I don't see GB holding onto him at this point, especially when it's looking like they may potentially lose Davante Adams to free agency. It's better they hit the reset button and start the rebuild.

This is exactly why I laugh when certain individuals on here bring up the saints cap situation. Everyone across the league think otherwise.

The salary cap shouldn't be as pressing of a concern as it was in 2021, given that the leaguewide figure will go up and New Orleans won't be dealing with as much dead money as it was a year ago. The Saints will restructure and get where they need to be.

Rebuild is a tough sell for a 1 seed. If Rodgers stays, so does Adams, plus they could tag Adams if they want. Bring them back and they're favorites for the 1 seed again in the NFC. Add a vet WR to the mix, maybe bring back Tonyan? All depends on what they can do with that cap.

Risky to place a high draft choice on any of these QBs. They traditionally get overvalued at that position and every guy has goals. I don’t think there’s a single prospect this year that would have been drafted in the first round last year.

Some of these prospects may have been more desirable coming off of 2020 if they had been eligible. Bad circumstances (or just more game experience revealing weaknesses) has hurt some draft stocks.

They have zero cap room, so they're going to have to get rid of existing assets to make this work. Rodgers has to want to stay, and how is GB going to convince him?

There isn't going to be any convincing at this point, unless his other options suck. Green Bay isn't going to actively pursue a rebuild though, as even losing Rodgers from a 1 seed team could still compete for the playoffs depending on who backfills Rodgers' spot. Do the Packers bring in someone to compete with Love in that scenario?

Exactly. How many times during a Troy broadcast is his partner contractually obligated to call him "HOFer Troy Aikman"?
Yup. Matter of fact towards the beginning of Mahomes' career they were talking about the numbers he was putting up. Aikman said something to the effect of "let him win 1/3 of the rings I have. Then he can talk"...

Another reason I was glad to see the Chiefs get title a couple years ago...

Who's backfilling Rodgers? We have plenty of data to see what Greenbay looks like without Rodgers - utter dog shit. You keep mentioning Greenbay being a 1-seed team, you may as well say Greenbay with Aaron Rodgers as the starting QB as he's arguably the best QB in the league.

I have to think they will franchise Adams no matter what happens

LeBron probably thought he would be treated the same way in L.A. as he was in Cleveland. Doesn't work that way with a historic franchise like the Lakers.
Kind of was treated the same way....why he was given Westbrook, isn't it? why better fitting players were let go for his friends.
