Thanks for the explanation. Thought for some reason AD was brought in to be the man.

He was brought in to be the man after Lebron moves on or retires. The idea was, and I assume still is, to rebuild around AD. Although that may be in jeopardy if he can't stay healthy.

What'd he do?

Heard a little on Cowherd yesterday...sounded like he's starting his fickle teenage girl routine again and casting doubt on returning to Green Bay. Too bad Jordan Love apparently can't play worth a damn. Then they could move on. I know a couple of die hard Packers fans and they're over it with him.

Yeah, they sound like Lakers fans are starting to sound like with Lebron. They appreciate all of the wins and the Super Bowl and the fact that having him on the team makes them contenders, but they're also sick of the drama every year.

I'd gladly take him on the Dolphins. Rodgers is a bit dramatic, but most high level superstar athletes are.

Given how Green Bay has mismanaged that roster and wasted Rodgers' prime years, I think there's validity in why he's a bit upset.

From an outside perspective, I think Green Bay fans are thinking the grass is going to be greener on the other side if/when Rodgers retires or moves to another team.

Both of them deserve to be called out for it a lot more than they are

Wasn't the original idea of LeBron & AD teaming for AD to be more of the focal point of the offense so LeBron's load would be a little lighter? AD's very talented. It's too bad his body keeps breaking down on him.
Except that the idea failed miserably

I am pretty sure that Davis was intended to be the future of the franchise after LeBron retired. It was well known that he was close to retirement. Now the question will is do the Lakers still believe in him after his many injuries. One thing they haven't talked about - is if the style of how they play is inviting injuries like it did one year Phil Jackson was still there - and if they need to change how they play to minimize the risk of injuries.

He can be serviceable for a franchise that leans on defense and a running game. He could be an elite game manager who has the ability to make 5-6 big plays during a game to help bring a win.

I would give him another yr but still draft a qb

Risky to place a high draft choice on any of these QBs. They traditionally get overvalued at that position and every guy has goals. I don’t think there’s a single prospect this year that would have been drafted in the first round last year.

Exactly what they should do, imo. 6 games is a small sample size to base your franchises future on and his history says that, if he stayed healthy, there would be some pretty bad play coming as he has been inconsistent at best.

However, he also received the best coaching last year that he's had in his career. So, if he has figured things out, the qb they drafted can be traded to fill another need or 2.

I don't see him getting more durable as he gets older. Not familiar with his entire injury history. But he's only played 70+ games twice in his career. If the Lakers can get what they're looking for in a trade getting rid of him might not be a bad idea.

Highly unlikely, remember that I said it was possible...

If they get 40 to 50, they should be thankful
