Where were these complaints when he was still at OU? Or are you still going with "we were all saying those things secretly to each other"?

What the hell does that have to do with anything? It has literally nothing to do with Riley not recruiting them until they entered the portal...nor does it have anything to do with the fact that the kids that to transfer to USC had chosen OU because of Riley, not because of some #OUdna.

If Riley were to leave USC next year for another program, guess what the players who chose USC because of him are going to do?
Pointing out differences in people is all. Venables told guys no, you can transfer but it won’t be to come with me. But I suggest you stay put. That’s public record by the way. Riley took a different path, one in which he insulted peoples intelligence by acting like he made up his mind overnight after being contacted about the job lol. Yeah ok. Then we have the over a month drama with Caleb Williams. I feel sorry for the other schools that though they had a chance just because of the plan that Riley concocted. Venables refused to be part of it. When Williams tried to act like he hadn’t made his mind up Venables wished him luck and told him that he probably shouid move on. That’s called being secure in your own abilities and a desire to do things the right way.

His definition of ethics is that it is unethical for any player or coach to leave OU, unless OU fans want them gone.
Yeah, if coaches can leave at any time for a better job.....kids should be allowed to go into the portal and then the former coach can land them. Seems fair. Shouldn't have to play for a coach they weren't recruited by.

Yes, proof. You know...something to backup your accusations.

And, ftr...''everybody knows'' and/or ''it's obvious'' aren't proof.
Ummm, do I need to post articles where USC offered former OU players?

I like a good conspiracy theory, but I’ve reread what I said twice and there just isn’t one there.

Exactly. What's hilarious is that you never hear fans complain when the coaching staff runs off a kid who was recruited by the previous staff, or who isn't working out like they hoped.

They also don't complain when the school fires a coach in the middle of a contract because the team isn't winning enough...even if that coach is loved by his players.

Loyalty and ethics tend not to be so important then.

You might want to try a 3rd time. If you still cant see it...paranoia may be something you want to get yourself checked out for.

S.B. Sunday just got a little better. My drunken, arrogant anti-vaxxer bro-n-law in Denver just called & said he won't be showing up.

My in-law's (his folks obviously) have asked all people at the get-together today be fully vaccinated. And he refuses to do that.

Man, just start this fucking Super Bowl.

Have you watched any of the 5 or 6 hours of pregame bullshit? I haven't. Was listening to blues music all morning & watching the Celtics game now.

So the kid still ends up at OU, even though Venables ''didn't have a spot for him''.
You obviously didn’t read the article. The kid went ahead and enrolled at OU, and then his family went and got Dabos blessing. FYI since you won’t read, the article is how much the kid thinks of Venables and how much it meant for Venables to do things the right way.

Especially when, as everyone knows, the coach is the program in college athletics.

It is exactly the same as NBA fans who complain when their star leaves via free agency.
