Wallow in the mud with us!!!!

I know you like to.

No, I totally do.

Both sides have valid points.

Anyone saying racism isn’t alive and well is out of their goddamn mind.

But, racism and bigotry go both ways.

Like are some people under the impression that all races, including black folks, don’t have biases?

Fuck outta here.

Listen, do I think Clark gets way more shine than is warranted?

Yes.

But there is a REASON for that, actually there are a few.

1. She is good.

2. She puts asses in the seats, eyeballs on the tv set.

Do I think part of her appeal is that she is white?

Fuck yeah….lol

People like to see themselves reflected in greatness.

Black folks dominate Pro Basketball, men and women.

Luka, Joker, Ionescu, Clark are their Tiger, Serena and I don’t see the problem with this.

Who TF do you think is watching the tourney, who are the advertisers targeting?

White people.

It’s business.

The same way ESPN sucks Lebrons dick even when his team is down bad, is the same reason publications cater to Clark.

He brings eyes and asses.

Also.....I do try to compare the Bostons and Reeses of the world to the men from a shooting standpoint (seems fair)

I have a hard time calling them rounded when they are 6 3 and can't hit a 3 in competition at any kind of clip.

Reese is a an okay free throw shooter.

But damn. The reverse racism push that MAGA folks are making is trying to set things back to the way it was before the civil rights movement even started.

Disagree. Some MAGA folks might want that. But what I see is white people getting tired of being told they're racist just because they're white.

If someone wants to say I'm racist...fine...but they'd better be able to point out any time that I've done or said something that's racist.

Black people can be racist.

Systemic racism is substantially more likely to affect black people negatively than white people.

Caitlin Clark is not the best female college player ever. I am not even sure there is a legit case to made for her over Cheryl Miller or Diana Taurasi, Cheryl Swoppes, or Breanna Stewart to name a few.

But she is the most exciting I have seen.

She is Steph Curry.

The most skilled female basketball players are:

Sheryl Swoopes, Cheryl Miller, Lauren Jackson, Maya Moore, Sue Bird, Taurasi.

Had she not lost her goddamn mind and went off the deep end, Chamique Holdsclaw could have been the best of all.

She moved like the men do.

Her and Miller are the only two that might stand a chance against lower level pro men talent.

Shit, Cheryl busted Reggie’s ass on the regular until she blew her knee out.

Diggs to Houston

I don't really like this for Houston. Diggs is a drama queen. They've got a nice up and coming team, including some nice young WRs, and now they are introducing potential problems into the locker room. He's always been this way. He was recruited by VT (went to Maryland) and even then I can remember stories about how he was self centered. He publicly goes on about how much he wants to win but what he means by that is the team has to win by giving him as many touches as he wants. If he's not getting touches, he's constantly causing passive aggressive problems regardless of what the team record is

Or worse being told they aren’t allowed to have an opinion because of things that happened that they had nothing to do with.

Is she the best women’s player of the last 10 years though? I think that’s Hill’s point.

Doesn't matter if she's the best in the past 10 years...she's the best right now. That's why she's getting the media coverage.

If what people are saying is going to happen actually does and Juju Watkins becomes the face of WCBB for the nest 2-3 years...is Hill going to say that she's only getting that media attention because she's black?

This, exactly. No one can ever be judged purely on their ability with this shit constantly being brought up. It’s not fair to anyone involved.

Might be.

But it isn’t great for Buffalo either once you consider that the pick they traded to get Diggs turned into Justin Jefferson.

Sure.

But there is also a difference between bias and racism.

Example…

A few years back when I wore braids, I used to go to the barbershop to get my sides and back buzzed.

If I walked in the shop and their was a black, white and Hispanic barber…

I’m going to the black guy first, Hispanic second, white guy as a last resort.

I’m not racist against white barbers.

But I had a bias against them understanding how to cut black hair because of the first time I let one do it.

*hint it’s not with scissors…lol

Here’s the thing….

I have since had several white people do my hair and it turned out awesome.

But perception is reality.

I had that one bad experience and it tainted white barbers for me for YEARS.

My wife is the same way. She prefers a black person to cut her hair.

Some white folks can cut black people's hair, but not all can.

Yeah, and Buffalo basically just paid a big price for him to go away. They took a huge dead cap hit. For a contending team that's already cash strapped, makes you wonder just how bad the relationship was that they couldn't ride this out for one more year. This draft is loaded at WR but still

They will get a solid #1 in the draft. And I had forgot they signed Samuel from Washington.

They should go get Renfrow on a 1 year make good deal.

Yup.

Gotta give us Clark and Ionescu vs the Splash Bros next Allstar weekend.
