Being head coach in the NFL is probably the toughest of all coaching jobs. It's by far the sport where coaching matters most, and it's kind of a young man's game. Remember when they brought Joe Gibbs old ass out of retirement? It did not go well. I wouldn't want BB to come in and coach my team today.

Yeah, there's a point where a coach has just gotten too old and/or stuck in his ways.

As much as I love me some Pete Carroll, now that he no longer coaches the Seahawks, I'd have to at least think twice about hiring him. He's what? 72? He has more energy than some of the players, but he's been showing signs of being stuck in his ways the past few years.

Got into it with tabascodouchebagjet. Said coaching is a young man's game.....

BB might be 71 but Andy Reid is 65. Reid says, "Hold my beer." He ain't exactly washed.

I think that could be a mistake. I think the game may have passed him by and he's too stubborn to adjust.

Not gonna say that it for sure has passed him by as people forget that he lost a lot more than just Brady when Brady left. There was at least a little bit of a rebuild there.

But some of his moves and decisions have been kind of bizarre.
Have him coach and somebody else make personnel decisions.

I'm a problem solver.

I don't know as that I'd say "a young mans game", but they do have to be able to "think young".

By "thinking young" I mean being able to adjust his system, attitude, etc. to the changes in the game and players. Or be smart enough to surround themselves with those who can.

Andy Reid is a good example of an older coach who "thinks young". He has tweaked and changed his system to fit who he has not the other way around.

It's safe to say that Nick Saban hated every offensive innovation that has happened over the past 20+ years...but rather than just sticking to what he wanted, he was smart enough to bring in guys like Kiffin and Sarkisian to run his offense for him.

Raheem Morris got the Falcons job.
3rd round comp pick this draft and next incoming for the Rams.

It will be interesting to see how many assistants he takes with him, could limit the Rams options to hire from within (along with their DL coach already gone to USC). Does this open the way for Staley to return? Or do they try for Wink?

A few years ago yes, but right now BB has his sights set on Shiela’s win record and that’s what he’s going to be about, short term wins.

I know that's his goal but what evidence is there he can do anything without TB?

I think that’s a tired argument, he is a great coach. A lot of people give him credit for Parcells wins.

I'm not really a legit NFL fan so maybe I have this wrong he just seems done. It happens, great career. They all end and usually kinda sad.

I agree he’s done, I wouldn’t hire him. But he’s going to get that win record most likely.

Who you got in the next match?

Would like to see Zverev especially if Djokovich lose this match. Very rare to get a first time GS winner on the men's side due to Djokovich dominance and that's what would we get if Zverev beat Medvedev

If I needed a coach (and had a QB) I'd at least consider him in that scenario....but would Bill?

I mean, maybe it's not fair but the guy has not been anything special when no Brady as his QB. a few decent seasons.
