It’s his retirement and he’s going to be able to duck California taxes.not wise for Ohtani either.
in 20 years 68 million is like 25 million now most likely.

I saw video today that shows Toney breaking the huddle and coming to line up and he extends his arm out and looks at the sideline. That’s the universal “declare you’re the line of scrimmage guy” signal. I really do think the lineman fucked up here and didn’t provide the help he’s supposed to provide. I don’t think Reid and Mahomes are wrong per se. I think they’re handling it unprofessionally.

It’s not evasion if it’s legallol so now we have potential tax evasion at play
No question that is a big part of it, avoidance is a better wordlol so now we have potential tax evasion at play
It’s not evasion if it’s legal
All game long that tug you saw on the play was play on for both teams except in the last two minutes of the game. If it’s not a call all game, it’s hard to play football when they change up out of nowhere.
So you have an issue with the way the first 58 minutes was officiatedI disagree.
A foul is a foul no matter when it happens.
It’s never the end of the conversation. The same action was allowed all game long. Early in the game, good officials establish a standard. We see this in all sports. It was an obvious hold. The Eagles DB who got flagged even said it was.
That should be the end of the conversation.
that should be an illegal contract.
I think Bobby Bonilla is still getting paid
It could be argued from the Dodgers perspective I guess. This gives them 10 years to make money on some of that money if they so choose. From Ohtanis standpoint this is the equivalent of winning the lottery and not taking the reduced payout.
Toney lined up offsides 3 previous times in the game....That is poor coaching for them to not notice what he was doing all game and tell him to make sure he lines up correclyLet them play, sure.
But hold them accountable to the rules.
If they are guilty of a penalty, call it.
They assumed it would just work out for them in the end like it always doesToney lined up offsides 3 previous times in the game....That is poor coaching for them to not notice what he was doing all game and tell him to make sure he lines up correcly
He is allegedly a professional....it's on him. He isn't even a rookie or 2nd year guy. It's his 4th year in the damn League.Toney lined up offsides 3 previous times in the game....That is poor coaching for them to not notice what he was doing all game and tell him to make sure he lines up correcly

Fair point. It’s on the team to make him accountable
And he makes that much in endorsements anyway so plenty of spending money before it kicks in. Pretty smart move by all involved. If the goal is to win World Series titles, it's very smart for both sides. That leaves the Dodgers a lot of money to sign other/keep other players. Plus, looks like a good guy for "sacrificing".
