Georgia is a top 4 team as well so no shame in losing to them. The committee pick and choose when they want to evaluate an entire season or 1 game and since the sec was involved they decided to throw out what fsu did this season and focus only on yesterday. Selective memory at its best like bama didnt just need a hail mary to beat a bad auburn team last week but so focused on how fsu looked last week and yesterday lol

No. It's supposed to be about the most deserving teams and this year actually set up to be one of, if not the easiest, year to make the selections.

You had 3 unbeaten P5 conference champions and two 1 loss P5 conference champions who played each other.

You take the 3 undefeated conference champs and the team that won the head2head game between the other 2 and call it a day.

When the committee met, it should have taken longer to shake hands and say Hi than to decide which teams were in.

I'm curious about this "deserving" argument... it being the be-all-end-all (apparently).

Why is it a rule that this is the one and only factor? Why can't another factor (such as selecting the best teams at the end of the year) also be a consideration too?

Personally, I thought the committee balanced the two considerations as best they could.

(I also think that if the FSU QB hadn't have been injured, FSU would have been in the top 4)

Anywho... we'll see how FSU does in their bowl game. That will be the only thing beyond talk that will help settle the debate.

I prefer most deserving teams over who they think are the best teams because the best team argument is bullshit. You can make a tremendous case that Ohio State and Georgia should be in as well if we are talking about "best teams"
