Got to give him more than 1 year though

Yeah, Deion came in loud and got louder when they started off winning games. Then the season fell apart on him. This is just part of the blowback that comes from that. When recruiting starts getting real, he'll get his share through the portal and on the recruiting trail.

For his and Colorado's sake, hopefully he's learned that it's not going to be as easy as he thought.

He has some of the exact same issues USC has had. You can get a lot of good skill position players in the portal, but it's really hard to build an o-line and defensive front 7 that way. Those units need time on the field together to be at their best. You can upgrade the talent through the portal, but you can't get the time together on the field that way.

Anyone know why anyone would give out a NIL deal without a commitment to play the bowl game? Seems to me that’s the way it should be. You get paid you play.

@shopson67 they aren’t letting me quote your post:

No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.

Note: It is not necessary for a player to pull the runner completely to the ground in order for the act to be illegal. If his knees are buckled by the action, it is a foul, even if the runner is not pulled completely to the ground.

And pull the runner to the ground. He didn’t pull the runner down to the ground. He used both hands to spin the player essentially like a helicopter type action. This isn’t a horse collar.

It’s not though. The rule was created as a safety issue because of the force created in a player getting dragged down from behind. None of that applied here.

Don’t have a dog in this fight, haven’t read or seen it. But if a guy gets brought down by a hand inside any part of the collar it’s getting flagged

Apparently not. The question was the hand on the name plate of the jersey. The front of the jersey was ripped not the back.

I admit when I initially picture a horse collar penalty the image I get is what you’re saying; getting pulled down with a ton of force from behind. Amendments to the rule have expanded it to include more scenarios, I mean you guys know, you were posting the penalty description verbatim.

Pretty much except for when the QB is in the pocket or ball handler in the tackle box, but I’m sure there are instances where those will get flagged also.

I don’t have comprehension issues so I talked about what really matters.

You not seeing your comprehension issues reminds me of Rocky when he was asked if he had brain damage and said "I don't see any".
