Calling that non horse collar on allen the correct call is idiotic. Admit your team got away with one and leave it as that so you don't look like a ridiculous homer
You don’t know the rule. The horse collar was added to the rule book because of the high likelihood of injury. Here’s the horse collar tackle outlawed by the league through penalty.

In the case of Allen and Reddick, the main point of contact for Reddick is the front of the jersey, not a horse collar. Reddick takes his other hand and gains leverage on the back of the jersey. He then helicopters Allen to the ground. There is no knee buckling and a player being taken down from behind. You’re mistaken.

The only calls that counted vs the Eagles all day long were false starts. There was an illegal contact that was offsetting.
There was a bull shit personal foul called against Morrow as the officials relented to Josh Allen’s incessant crying all game.
There is no way that Washington didn't hold. He had the defender in a bear hug and a fist full of the back of the defender's jersey.
I have no idea who Washington is?!?!?
Josh was first pulled down by the jersey collar in front, then in the back on that play. Textbook horse collar.
You don’t know the rule.

It's on brand and expected.
It is on brand. Very few of you guys actually played the game. Your mommy wouldn’t let you play or you were afraid of contact. Yet again, it’s revealed that most posters here don’t understand the game of football. So here I am again being left to explain rules to people who are just casual fans.

You don’t know the rule.

You don't know who Washington is, yet you challenged my note about a bad call? Hint, he's a Steeler TE.

The Morrow call wasn't blatant, sure. He did hit the QB well after the release and extended his arm, pushing him, but Josh did flop a bit. That said, there were other times where Josh was hit late, including a low hit, that went uncalled (as they do every week it seems). None if this is on the Eagles, it's on the refs.

Since Steratore called it a horse-collar penalty, I will take his word over yours.

I only thought I commented on anything that involved Bills Eagles.

He flopped a lot. Listen I get it. That’s why Allen cries all game long. Eventually he’s going to get a flag. It’s why he’s been the benefactor of a number of questionable roughing the passer calls this year. It’s just hilarious to me that he’s a tank and the Eagles couldn’t corral him all day but a shove and dude goes down like a sniper in the crowd shot him.

You have every right to question an officials decision by citing another official. But officials aren’t infallible. Steratore is flat out wrong. That’s not a horse collar tackle. Just pay attention this week when the league comes out and says the same things I did. Just because there’s a hand placement on the back of a jersey doesn’t make the action a horse collar tackle.

Here we go. Only people who played the game can understand lol. Horse collar penalties weren't a thing until 2005.

I played plenty of unofficiated "sandlot" football, but our high school did not have a team until many years after I graduated. I believe the program was killed many years earlier due to injury concerns or some bullshit.

It wasn't just hand placement, it was a grip and pull of the name plate.

What’s evident is that you don’t understand the rule. You’re more than welcome to provide your own explanation as to why you don’t understand it. I just took an educated guess.

I'll believe people who actually officiated this league over some eagles fan lol I'm good

And? That’s not enough to make it a horse collar. The player needs to be in a trail position to get a horse collar. They need to bring their weight down to the ground essentially taking the ball carriers legs out that way. It’s a dangerous play. What Reddick did was use two hands to essentially spin and helicopter Allen to the ground. That action isn’t a horse collar.

You need to depend on the interpretations of others because you don’t know or understand the rule. So you do you. When someone tells you what to think next week, you’ll switch up because you don’t understand what you’re watching. You need other people to tell you what you’re watching.

All day long…not a horse collar.

ARTICLE 16. HORSE-COLLAR TACKLE

No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.

Note: It is not necessary for a player to pull the runner completely to the ground in order for the act to be illegal. If his knees are buckled by the action, it is a foul, even if the runner is not pulled completely to the ground.

Yes you know it all. Sure if a team did that to hurts you would compliment the refs for a great no call. Since you know so much you should apply to be a ref

Not interested. People bitch at you all day long. If that’s Hurts I’m screaming at him for not throwing the ball away when he had the chance. I’m also screaming at my OC for booting at Reddick. That man can be had because he doesn’t play off blocks well. You should never boot at him. It’s like the Bills don’t watch film.

@shopson67 they aren’t letting me quote your post:

And pull the runner to the ground. He didn’t pull the runner down to the ground. He used both hands to spin the player essentially like a helicopter type action. This isn’t a horse collar.

Yeah, you're gonna need to drop this bullshit.

I have played and coached football. You're wrong about the horse collar and you're wrong about receiver in the area on intentional grounding.
