Rodgers sat for his first 3 years so he's really like 34 instead of 37.....LOL.
lol
No quite how it works, but I get your point.

3 years with Rodgers is better than the next 10 years with Mayfield.
He didn't get hit much those first 3 years.....lol

I'd trade Carr and some picks in a nano second for Rodgers and Carr had a better season than Mayfield but a worse defense (reason they finished 8-8 and Browns didn't).
Carr, 67.3%, 256.4ypg, 7.9ypa, 27 TD's, 9 INT's, 101.4 PR
Mayfeidl, 62.8%, 222.7ypg, 7.3ypa, 26 TD's, 8 INT's, 95.9 PR
No, it's not. LOL. The Browns had a better defense. The difference in defenses was negligible. The Browns had a better run game and kept opposing teams off the field.
If Baker was 30 like Carr is this would be an appropriate comparison. But he isnt.
He didn't get hit much those first 3 years.....
30 is hardly over the hill....LOL.
And the point is Mayfied had 1 good season where he broke out.....he can still regress.....last season could have been an aberration. Carr has proven over 7 years to be a top 10-12 QB.7 nfl seasons to 3 is the point.

Under a 2-1 TD to INT ratio, not good. Um......and a 6-7 record. under .500, not good.Baker had 1 good season? He set the record for rookie TD passes lol
We can agree to disagree.....you're good people.Baker had 1 good season? He set the record for rookie TD passes lol

Defense. Or lack thereof.....end of discussion.Since you're picking on my team. Here are some of Carr's numbers.
47-63 as a starter. One winning season ('16). One .500 season (2020). 5 losing seasons. Good TD to int ratio (170-71) but has 63 fumbles (led the league 2x) '20 & '18.
OK....but even at his best AR only has 1 title. His D gave him excellent field position 4 times in the NFCCG needing a score and he couldn't get it done. No lock he gets another chance and could certainly retire in 2-3 years.Rodgers shows no signs of slowing down. TB shows QB's nowadays (with the QB friendly rules) can play into their 40's.
Mayfield can regress, he had a good season, but based on his history it's no lock he's turned the corner.
a few more left at his prime? At 37? Stopped reading after that. However, you also have Baker who is just about to get his first big extension and hasn't really proven to be championship caliber yet vs Rodgers coming off an MVP season with at least a few more left at his prime. Do you take the a few years of the sure thing over a player that could just be Andy Dalton level if he doesn't continue to improve? That roster is pretty well primed; an MVP QB season could put them right there with the Chiefs.
Tough call, and it really depends on the level of confidence in Mayfield (and if ARod is even interested in Cleveland). As a Bills fan I really like Josh, but could they pass up the opportunity to get Rodgers?
So because Brady and Brees did it (who didn't really use their legs) it must mean Rodgers can play well into his 40s (and Rodgers is at best when he can use his legs some)?Would you have said the same thing when Brady was 37, without knowing his future?
And Brees...but I agree with your point. And, hell, even he started breaking some with injuries last couple seasons.Rivers retired
Ben a year away
Eli retired
Peyton retired at 39
39 is the real breaking point for everyone not named TB
