I heard discussion on this on the radio earlier. Apparently he lied about being there in the first place. I don’t expect anything to come of this.

Same but he ended 2 lives by being idiotic. This was totally avoidable

I’m honestly surprised it got out. So much stuff gets covered up in college towns, and I mean all of them.

It's not just legally, it's factually.

In most other cases the team had reason to move. Not enough fan support, for instance. Not the case here as was evidenced by the fans taking it to the NFL and getting what we deserved (which no other team ever did).....a guarantee of a new team here AND the name, records, etc before the old one was even out the door.

I do feel for those other cities that lost teams as even knowing ours would be back in a few years sucked. Cannot imagine how bad it would have been for those who had no idea if/when they might see a team again.

Reasons aside (and obviously the owner was shady as hell), it's still a brand new franchise. No member of the previous Browns carried over unless let go by the Ravens (if that happened?). Everything started over, all they kept was their record book. Well, the unis and name too (if that's a good thing lol)...

why? The Haslams have proven IF they have a FO they trust they will let them do their work AND they are not shy about spending even in a small market.

From an outsider's perspective, it seems the Haslems continue to hire the wrong guys in most cases? The spent huge on a player they knew would anger at least half of their fan base. I don't believe most of the sports world has the same rosy view of Haslem that you do...

Might be wrong, but unlike him, I don't think baseball was ever your favorite sport.

Cannot imagine any realistic scandal stopping me from watching the NFL or CFB.

Yeah, the steroid scandal just allowed me to hate Barry Bonds more. I still even like some of the known steroids users (like McGwire) and think they should all get in the hall. I mean, if we're going to ignore guys like Bagwell and Pujols, let them all in and just add a note to their plaques.

When you have a 90 ft hole in the infield and guys won’t even try to hit the ball there it blows my mind. All the strikeouts is the main thing for me though, no pride. And baseball has let it happen.

It is somewhat puzzling that in the era of advanced metrics doing a big portion of the "coaching" that simply hitting against a shift isn't an obvious target. Enough of the launch angles and exit velocities and all that BS.

No more stupid rule changes either. We don't need a pitch clock or an automatic runner at 2nd, we just need fewer damn TV commercials.
