Lawrence got 18 last night, I just thought there was a chance he would not get that and he wouldn’t have if Etienne would have scored before Lawrence ran it in. My options are Carr, Minshew, Purdy or Watson and I’m not playing Watson. I may just roll with Minshew. Fortunately on my others teams I have either Allen, Mahomes or Fields.
Minshew would be a good choice. Carr could do well but expect running a lot and short passing game.

Pederson done a good job with Jax.

Needs to be in running for the COY.
That award has to be Siriani’s you’d think. Year 1 he takes them to the playoffs. Going back to last year he’s on a 20-5 run. He has the best regular season team in the league. They’ve already improved 4 wins from last year’s total with 3 games to play.

I don’t know if you believe in this kind of stuff but I think Minshew has a bit of an edge here. Cowboys lost 2 of their 3 top CBs for the season. Their top corner Diggs is on the injury report this week with Parsons. Some have speculated that the Cowboys may be sitting them. Minshew just gave a eulogy for Mike Leach. He’s gonna be geeked up to play. He’s also playing for money as his contract is up. He played well in some games last year when Hurts was hurt. This guy Minshew isn’t settled yet in seeing himself as a back up. Last year he came to the coaching staff and asked for the QB competition to be opened up. This is the guy’s chance and I think he’s gonna show.

That being said…the scouting report vs the Cowboys is to run right at them as they’re built to play the pass so that needs to be factored into the calculus. I think AJ Brown Devontae Smith and Goedert have some plus matchups though especially if Diggs and Parsons sit.
I am starting to lean in his direction as cannot see a big game from either Goff (on road) or Carr due to weather.

wont be Hurts, but he can run some, too, right?

Depends how many games they lose when Hurts is out. Either way he is #1 right now.

The Jags were a dumpster fire, if they make a playoffs after being projected a top 5 pick that is great jump. Siriani should win it though

He can move around to extend a play if needed but you shouldn’t count on his feet for Fantasy points.

Pittsburgh, I’m still looking at some things but not much else is available. I have Minshew as well, who actually could have a decent game.

One thing to consider in making your decision…

Philly overall has been pretty balanced between run and pass all season.

But, they have had a few games where they have been extremely pass happy, and a couple where they have been extremely run heavy.

They tend to allow quick pressure at a high rate, and they have gone run heavy against teams they fear they will have trouble protecting against.

Dallas pressure the QB as well as anyone, and most teams shift to the run against them. Hurts can still produce in that game script because of his running ability. Minshew not so much.

Also, Philly legit might not be trying all that hard to win this game as they have 1 seed all but locked.

There is a solid chance Minshew is handing off 75% of the time tomorrow.

I personally would avoid starting him.

Probably was crazy based on what we knew for a fan to want Allen. Really all fans knew was he was big and not very accurate.

Thinking even his own team got a little lucky. If they knew he'd be this good I doubt they sit at 6 and just hope he falls to them.

But, yeah...is too bad Dorsey didn't take him.

Not really.

There was no consensus top QB that year. Not much separating the top 4 in the eyes of the scouts.

Most rankings I saw either had Allen or Darnold at the top. The Browns went off script a bit taking Baker.

I am not saying Allen was the easy pick at 1, but there were at least a few teams would have picked him at 1.

Well I wish I could take the 18 from Lawrence at this point but I can’t. I’ll probably flip a coin between Minshew and Carr. Wilson could pull one out of his ass too I guess.

The guys he’s comparing him to are pretty weak options. I can see Minshew having 250 and a couple TDs. Not sure Carr or the other options will do the same. Dallas is down CBs.

When we got closer to draft I saw more thinking it should be Darnold or maybe Baker. (not what Browns would do but what they should do). I thought we'd take Darnold but my thought was also just take a QB at 1..whoever you (Dorsey) think is best.

I also remember a number of Browns' fans going apeshit when there was a report that Friend of Dorsey said Dorsey wants Allen.

It's funny because the Browns were pretty open that Darnold wasn't the guy. So they did well there. It was Allen or Baker. But most fans wanted Barkley and then to go QB with 4.

So it kinda depends. If they weren't fully sold on any of the qbs but wanted to go qb they could've went Barkley then Mayfield or Allen But that means no Chubb. It was either a good pick to pass on Barkley (provided they were going Mayfield anyway) or bad because even Browns fans would much rather have Allen and Barkley instead of Chubb and the ghost of Mayfield and Ward.

Oh, my, I do remember the "Let's take Barkley at 1 and whichever QB is left at 4" fans.

do you recall the angst of so many when there was just a rumor Dorsey liked Allen (through friend of Dorsey)? And I guarantee some of those who complained about a pick that was never even made are now saying they wanted Allen at the time.

I was highest on Baker but I would have been fine with Allen at 4 (which they'd have gotten him)

I didn't like the Ward over Chubb pick (although it's a toss up as of today) but I think I we can agree given Newsome and Emerson we'd probably rather have Chubb?

All in all it wasn't a bad first two rounds until last year when Baker went bust. Even Corbett is a top 20 pff guard now (zero clue why the Browns coukdnt do anything with him)

The rest of that draft was hot trash though.

All of his picks after Chubb (that draft and the next one) were pretty much hot trash other than maybe Takitaki?

While I was going to just trust Dorsey at that time I kind of hoped he wanted Darnold but was fine with Baker, too. Also figured Chubb but understood the Ward pick as our CBs were crap and we had Garrett and still had Ogbah (until he released him to keep Chad Thomas).

That Corbett pick a disaster in so many ways.......he picked him to be the LT. When he couldn't play there he was awful as a guard (with the OL coach we had from GB) then he traded him for a 5th rounder? He did make up for it by acquiring Teller, though.

Baker and Darnold were my top 2. I wanted no part of Rosen. Allen was really a question mark for me bc I never saw him play.
