I'd say the forums I go to might be close to 60-40 wanted the move...but that is mostly for their angst toward Baker.

the starting pitching that the Guardians have/will face is truly ridiculous in their first 6 post season games.

McClanahan, Glasnow, Cole, Cortes, Severino, Cole

Phillies: Quintana, Mikolas, Fried, Strider, Morton
Padres: Sherzer, DeGrom, Bassit, Urias, Kershaw, Gonsolin, Anderson
Mariner: Gausman, Manoah, Verander, Valdez, McCullers

Pads have had a pretty tough road, but Sherzer looked outta gas, Gonsolin WAS out of gas, and Kershaw aint what he used to be. Mariners did not have an easy time either---- but the degree of difficulty has been by far the hardest on the Guardians thus far. It is not even close. There is simply no let up until MAYBE they get a Tailon or something in a potential game 5 AT Yankee stadium- which is prob. the stadium that gives its hometeam the biggest advantage considering the Yanks power and dimensions of the stadium.

Guardians are getting by on a great bullpen, an all-time great manager, and guts.

Agree going to be very tough to beat Cole. Need to get to him early if even a chance (seemed like NOT getting a knockout early on Severino would end up our undoing).

Would think we'd have the edge with Cevale and a BP game by them in game 5 but agree being at their place makes it so tough.

I hope Stefanski makes his team watch the Tribe every day/night in the playoffs.

The setup is a little awkward with it going home road road home home. But I get that the road team should get at least one opportunity in front of the fans. But it also opens up more upsets as we are seeing.

That aside...yea I mean again it's the playoffs. And sure guys like McClanahan and Cortes have had stellar seasons but they don't have anywhere near the playoff pedigree that Scherzer or Kershaw or even the Braves guys on their run...hell Charlie Morton has 17 playoff starts and he's been pretty good. Unlike Severino.

That's fair, but I'd say McClanahan, Glasnow and Cole are on another level fro m many.

Either way, hats off to Philly and the Padres for getting to the NLCS.

Always taking shots at them while ignoring that right now his team actually has a worse record.

Since the 2002 season the Raiders only have three trips to the playoffs. One more than our team.
