@fightinfunbags congrats to the Phils! they held on.

Phil’s are about .500 this year in Wheeler/Nola starts. Scared? This was the goal. Anything from here is gravy. Roster still needs work to become a true contender. And any fan of baseball would rather avoid deGrom/ Scherzer when the other option is Wainright/Mikloas. Additionally, the Mets have owned the Phil’s this year. I think the season series was something like 14-5 or 13-6.You scared? Don't think Nola and Wheeler can go toe to toe with them
Yankees fans should be the ones who are scared. Rotten 2nd half. They really haven’t been playing good baseball for quite some time now.You scared? Don't think Nola and Wheeler can go toe to toe with them

It’s more likely to be Padres/Mets Phillies/CardsWe back. Just do your job and eliminate the mets for me
I am glad that if the Guardians can win in the wild card round- that they play the Yanks and not the Astros in the ALDS.Yankees fans should be the ones who are scared. Rotten 2nd half. They really haven’t been playing good baseball for quite some time now.
Bill BelichekTerry Francona is the longest tenured manager in major league baseball, and the 4th longest tenured "head coach" in the 3 major US Sports.
who are the 3 with more tenure then him?
Francona, with Cleveland's payroll, in his 10 years as manager has lead them to the playoffs 6 times. He will probably win his 3rd manager of the year award this year in Cleveland. Cleveland has the 2nd best record in the American League over his 10 years- behind only the Yankees.
2nd best record in the AL. Making the playoffs more than you miss it- with one of the lowest payrolls in the league.

Pop
Tomlin?

I felt good about Belicheck and Pop but I think you may be right on Pete being hired before Tomlin.Pete Carroll as well.
Are you a baseball guy? I don't remember you posting much about baseball. Are you just front-running the Dodgers because they're good and from LA?And they ain't winning shit.
Been a Raiders, Lakers and Dodgers fan since I was a kid in the late 70's.Are you a baseball guy? I don't remember you posting much about baseball. Are you just front-running the Dodgers because they're good and from LA?
Doesn't really answer my question though. Man on first, no out, where is the batter trying to hit the ball and what is that called?Been a Raiders, Lakers and Dodgers fan since I was a kid in the late 70's.
If he smart.....manager is calling for a bunt to move him over.....unless you got your 3-5 hitter up....then you have him swinging for the fences and a homer.Doesn't really answer my question though. Man on first, no out, where is the batter trying to hit the ball and what is that called?
Nah. Not a baseball guy.If he smart.....manager is calling for a bunt to move him over.....unless you got your 3-5 hitter up....then you have him swinging for the fences and a homer.
