Do you know that Tua misled the doctors? And, I understand that my opinion is somewhat biased since I'm a Phins fan. Having said that, maybe the Phins made the decision to play Thursday because Tua was cleared, so no reason to hold him out. Or, maybe they bribed the doctor to clear him, who knows?

Players always want to continue, and often feel that they can. Investigations may find out if they're thorough enough. I did read somewhere that it is a known loophole to claim back injury to beat the protocol, but can't remember where and haven't found it again (maybe I'm concussed?)

Multiple neurologists that I've read on this matter said that any of his actions following the hit on Sunday should have bypassed the questions and put him into protocol. The staggering, shaking out the cobwebs, the immediate hands to the helmet, falling back down, being helped off, etc.

Again, whether Tua had a concussion Sunday or not is irrelevant to the hit he took on Thursday. The hit he took against Cincy was one of the worst hits I've seen a QB take. If Tua was out Thursday because of the Bills game, then played the following week and took a similar hit, he'd likely still have a concussion. The argument you're making is a lot of "What abouts". And I doubt the Dolphins are going to rush him back. If he's not cleared, he won't play. If he's cleared, he'll play.

It's really as simple as your last sentence.

The reason the NFL has team doctors working with independent doctors and having the final say on this is so that you don't have coaches making medical decisions. Now it appears they want to take doctors out of it by making a blanket rule.

I'm completely aware of how concussions work. And that's great that you have no confidence in how Thusrday's game didn't play a role from Sunday. To summarize, the hit Tua sustained in Buffalo was minor, but when he fell his head hit the ground. Whereas Thursday, Tua was whipped by a 340 lb DT into the ground where the force of impact was far greater than that he sustained on Sunday in the previous game. Again, if you're arguing against that, I can't help you.

Do you know the situation with McKenzie? If he was down for a while then went to the locker room, that's a bit different than Tua. Especially if McKenzie went to the locker room and didn't pass the concussion tests.

The two hits were in no way identical. Tua had just threw a pass and was in the air when a LB pushed him which caused him to fall to the ground and bump his helmet into the ground. Thursday's hit was far brutal. Saying both hits were similar is completely inaccurate.

You take the 3 point on 4th and 3 on the first drive. A nice long drive that came up empty, I hate that call. Of course then 3 points is the difference…Brisett played well again though. One stupid decision but again he shouldn’t have been in that situation

OK, but what about the other time they went for it and got 7? In addition, if able, rewatch the play. Brissett had Chubb AND Bryant open for an easy TD.

In addition, Doc Brown is right about the space time continuum. you don't just add 3 to final score by giving us 3 on that drive.

Oh, and how about going for it from OWN 30? Guarantee BTGC was ready to blow a gasket had that failed....but it didn't.

You're misinterpreting my statement re: the Thursday hit. It wasn't close to as violent as Sunday's hit against the turf and "may" not have caused a concussion had he not already been concussed.
