So that would mean just between the Lakers & Cavs the Lakers right now today have a better shot at the title than the Cavs?

The same Lakers team that were below .500 and missed the playoff last season and basically have the same roster?

Please explain why just between those two teams the Lakers have a better shot at reaching the Finals.

Obviously neither team has a legit shot. But roster wise I'd say the Cavs are in a better place than where the Lakers are.
Maybe but not to win a championship this year. Last we saw the Cavs they were in the middle of a complete collapse that cost me money as the Cavs finish pissed away my Mobley ROTY ticket.

100% yes.

The Lakers are a mess, but they have LeBron and AD.

The Cavs have zero chance to win a title this year.

The Lakers are slightly above zero and significantly better if they find the right trade for Russ.

Pretty easy really.

Just because they are in a better spot roster wise does not mean they have a better chance to win a title.

I was shocked they did not deal CAstillo. Not shocked- but surprised Happ stuck around

South Bend is nice. I had family that used to live there that we would visit.

Cubs just seem a long way off from contention. Pete Crow-Armstrong in the minors and Brennan are at least a couple bright spots in the minors- but if the Cubs are gonna get decent any time soon its because they open up the wallet big time.
I don't want to post this idea on Twitter so not to jinx it, but...

The Padres won't be able to afford to keep Juan Soto long-term. If we could build up the farm between now and 2025 then make a run at him.

If injuries are legit for other teams then they're legit for the Cavs. Starting SG C. Sexton only played about 10 games. D. Garland missed some games with a bad back. J. Allen was injured. Back up R. Rubio was lost for the year. And the injury bug got Mobley.

Cannot really disagree. Sure, the Cavs could make a deal that gives us a more legit shot this year and you can say it's hard to count on Lebron/AD staying healthy but they do have those 2 and if they did......?

Even if all goes right for the cavs with health hard to imagine a team whose top players have little to no playoff experience could win a title.

Cool. Did they collapse or no? And isn’t this a head to head comparison with the Lakers who were also banged up last year?

How many games have LeBron & AD missed the last two seasons? You really think the trio of LeBron/AD/Russ wins it all this year? Westbrook's a chemistry killer. There's a reason why a player that talented has played for 4 teams the last 4 seasons. They haven't traded RW yet so that's why I said this.

"the Cavs have zero chance to win a title this year"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Completely agree. But the Lakers odds to win it all aren't much better.

My opinion is right now the Cavs have a better all around roster than the Lakers.

Yeah.

If we are betting on odds of making the playoffs without any roster upgrades it is probably pretty close to even.

But odds of winning a title goes pretty clearly to the team led by 2 guys who got there not that long ago.

I see what yer sayin'. Injuries are legit for all teams except the Cavs because you lost money last season. Makes perfect sense.

That was all I said and you were pushing back on it.

Go start an argument with someone else. Not in the mood. I didn't say I was right. Just that's it's my opinion that the Cavs roster is better.

That is great. And I agree.

But you actually said the Cavs had a better chance at winning a title.

I think you were maybe joking with the original comment, but then you went and tried to further your point.

And it doesn’t even appear that you believe the Cavs have a better chance to win the title, because they don’t.

I have no faith at all that the trio of LeBron/AD/Russ could carry the Lakers to a title this season. For me it's about RW, don't trust him.

And while neither team truly has a shot to win it all it's my opinion that the Cavs are in a better position right now than the Lakers. I like the Cavs total roster better than what the Lakers have. That's why I've said what I've said.

Just outta curiosity do you think the Lakers roster right now is better than the Cavs?

The Lakers roster is a total mess.

But, they have 2 players easily good enough to be top 2 on a championship team.

The Cavs don’t have anything close to that. Yes they are in a good spot with pieces that seem to fit.

But again, you made the comment that the Cavs had a better chance to win a title this year. That is what you said.

Had you said the Cavs roster is better than the Lakers roster the first time, I would not have said anything at all.

That isn’t what you said though.

And I made a very short comment refuting your point and you keep asking me to explain.
