Happened to be driving and had the radio on after the game was over. It was stated that the foul that was called a flagrant on Clark would always be a common foul on anyone else. The butthurt bitches in the league are ridiculous, Clark is the sole reason they aren’t flying commercial anymore.

They will find a way to ban it. The Eagles got too good at short conversions and it’s become a cheat code. When it’s banned it will purely be a case of a rule being changed because a team got too good at something and only the rule book adaptation can stop the play.

The ban will mean nothing to the Eagles. Power QB sneaks will still be a thing, you just won't have a player pushing Hurts in the back (which I don't think amounts to much and is arguably dangerous). Any injury risk by linemen going low is a completely separate concern and won't be alleviated by banning the tush push. I don't think the rule change request is specific enough as to what they want changed, so it may not pass.

As always, my bigger issue is linemen being allowed to push a ball carrier beyond the line of scrimmage for additional yardage, but the rule change doesn't separate the two.

Yeah the league wants the better teams

Same teams will still qualify. It's still on the "better teams" to win their playoff games.

This league speaks out of both sides of their mouth whenever it serves them. They want parity, but if one of our assumed best teams doesn't win their division, let's change the rules to help them out.

In last year's example, does anyone really think the Vikings were one of the best teams just because of their record? They couldn't beat the Lions or Rams. How far were they really going to go?

I think you get your wish. The new proposal will be language that will be employed all over the field saying that a player can’t push a teammate to advance forward progress. That covers your desire AND the Tush Push.

That's better, but the health concerns for defenders really doesn't fit this tush push band agenda. There already are rules against essentially diving at the defenders' knees for blocking leverage.

I’m not listening to anything about safety, it’s just stuff they say without meaning it. I’ll listen when they quit letting guys take full windups trying to punch the ball out.
