Lmao, you are so transparent. My prediction was for the final punishment obviously. I don’t think it will go all the way to a year now, though it’s obvious the judge wishes the NFL hadn’t been so wishy washy in the past so maybe it could be. We will see on the next couple days. And yes, I do want the penalty increased because I think he is a pos who deserves it. The team makes no difference to me.
it amazes me how many people think they know better than an unbiased federal judge who is privy to more information than everyone else. What an arrogant POV.

The judge basically said the NFL has been lax on cases like this, which we all know to be true. I for one hope they decide to use this case to change that. We will see, just know my opinion on anything like this won’t ever have anything to do with wearing team boxer shorts like a lot of you do.

Would he be wrong? Best QB doesn't mean best person.

First I gotta say I've never seen him actually say that. Just that I could see him saying something like that.

And no Watson isn't the best QB the franchise has ever had. That would be Otto Graham. Who the NFL has ranked in the top 20 all time. He won the NFL championship in 1950 (Browns 1st year in the league). And played in the title game in '51, '52, '53, '54 & '55 (going 3-3).

Meh, it just happened, so everyone is commenting. Once training camp starts, it will die down. Then, it will start back up when the season starts and he's not out there. Then, it will die down again until he plays. Then, after a couple of games or so, it will die down again.
By Thanksgiving people will probably forget Watson was even suspended.

You sure? I didn’t realize that I had it but I came to find out yesterday that I have an anti-Cleveland agenda. You may want to check with @dtgold88 for a legitimate diagnosis.

The funny thing is there was a time when the Browns were my AFC team, which explains why the Ravens are my team now. Jerry Jones factored into that as well.

The problem with your opinion and many others is they are thinking with their heart and not their brain-not looking at the facts surrounding the case. Nothing has changed, all you have is hope, yet you say, “you fully expect” LMAO. Like I said, “it could happen” but it isn’t expected.

All I have done since day one is look at the facts despite not liking the guy.
From that perspective, the NFL won their case. They showed that Watson was in violation of the NFL code of conduct. The major disagreement Robinson had was in the request for the length of suspension citing precedent. This totally precludes the NFL’s potential desire to crack down further on sexual assault.

Otto Graham played for the franchise that currently plays in Baltimore.

5 of their top prospects.....4 of their top 5 and #8 from the beginning of the year at FanGraphs.

Since then Gore has re-established some value, and Woods and Hassell have taken steps forward.

Gore used to be a mega-prospect but has fallen off some. He started this year great in the majors but kind of came unwound and went on the DL.

Abrams has pretty consistently been a very highly rated prospect. AT one point Gore was the best pitching prospect in baseball.

It is about what I expected....to a certain extent there was some "Durant" issue going on with - we cant trade everyone we have or there is no point to getting him.......

solid return- Bell thrown in to though which I guess doesn't surprise me.

Soto, Tatis and Machado. No excuses for SD
Tatis needs to play....he should be back in a couple weeks I guess.

its a fucking joke. On my fantasy team right now I have Kris Bryant, Julio Rodriguez, Bryce Harper, and Fernando Tatis on the DL, and Byrun Buxton missing games since he always misses games. Its bonkers.

It really sucks SD has made so many deals over the last couple years, Tatis has been injured and the Dodgers aren't leaving the division anytime soon. The time is now. They got Bell and Soto and unloaded the Hosmer contract.

that is not what the judge said.

The judge said you cannot drastically increase a penalty without putting individuals on notice of what actually constitutes a violation and what an expected punishment for that violation would be.

She said that the most comparable case she could find for "non violent" sexual assault was a 3 game suspension for a player who had previously been warned by the NFL of his conduct. Other cases of what she termed non violent sexual assault resulted in light suspensions or even no suspensions she said. She doubled that even though Watson had never been warned because it was the "most egregious" case of non-violent sexual assault that the NFL had dealt with.

She also said that the NFL does not even have a definition of what sexual assault constitutes in their hand book- that the NFL made up their definition of the hearing- and as the hearing officer she was bound to use that definition even if she didnt agree with it.

Actually I think Hosmer can't be included unless he consents, he has no trade clause that has 10 teams - Nats are on it.
