Because he has to prepare for more than 1 game a season.

Not really. He’s dominated your dogshit conference which obviously isn’t hard to do. Two conference championships in the last three years and missed out on the title game via a tiebreaker the one year he didn’t win it. He’s only played 3 great teams and 3 big games in 3 years and what a surprise none of them were against PAC 12 teams. He beat Colorado and Utah in his title games which just goes to show how big of an embarrassing joke the PAC 12 is right now.

In those same 3 seasons he’s gone 0-3 in the Fiesta, Rose, and playoff game when he actually faced a real team. In other words 1 great team per season, all in the postseason against non-conference foes. I’m not counting the Auburn opener last year because they were an 8-5 team which of course he lost that too. He didn’t lose his big games at Boise......ever.

When has Washington played more than one tough team OOC?

When was the last time they played even one? Boise in 2015 and Auburn in 2018 don’t count either. Neither team finished ranked. Of course they lost both of those anyway.

the whole "you never schedule teams outside of the southeast" critique is dumb as hell

Clemson vs UGA and Clemson vs Auburn match-ups are way more intriguing than Clemson vs Washington, Clemson vs Michigan, etc

Not to mention also tougher games for Clemson.

From the SEC, at least Auburn schedules big time Non conference games. Of all the SEC teams in the last decade or so, Auburn is the only one who consistently schedules some bigger non con games.

Up until fairly recently when San Diego State started beating up on PAC 12 teams I would have said them hands down.

I agree completely, they were the first team I thought of but they've done really well OOC the past 3 years so that doesn't exactly qualify

Prior to that they were the literal definition of this, always falling short against the Power 5, taking a complete WTF loss to teams like Eastern Illinois and South Alabama (Twice) then following it up by losing at most 1 or 2 MWC games

LSU has consistently scheduled big games. I will say Auburn is a notch above at the moment with Washington last year, Oregon this year, and they had a series against Clemson.

And then you have the pleasure of getting your brains beat in with a SEC West schedule.

The SEC West is freaking brutal. Four are going to be good-great, sometimes a Mississippi team has a decent team, and then you have Arky who almost always sucks but views LSU as their Super Bowl. And to their credit, they seem to have the Tigers number.

But hopefully all that changes when the Raiders get to Vegas. The Rebels will call the new stadium home once completed.

Yeah but the criteria is teams that have done well IC but poorly OOC and UNLV has been miserable IC.

I wonder how many UNLV fans fill up that football stadium after the Raiders move into town.

I only mentioned them because I was a hoops season ticket holder. Would like to see the football program turn things around.

I think the games will be a sellout from the 1st one. And what an upgrade. I've went to a couple Rebels games at Sam boyd Stadium. That place is just awful when the season kicks off. Way too damn hot.

Sam Boyd Stadium is literally the worst CFB Stadium in which I have seen a game (1999 vs. Iowa State), and I love me some funky stadiums! Looks like Iowa State is heading back to LV in 2021, and I am looking forward to seeing a game in the NEW Stadium!

Sell outs? I’d be stunned and yes I realize the new stadium is going to be off the chain. Last season’s average was 15,000.

That new stadium will have A/C. Big difference from Sam Boyd. And there's alotta real sports fans out there. People out there always flock to the latest scene or big thing. Maybe I am just being hopeful. The new stadium holds around 65,000 but still think they could sell it out.

Hey @Peter Gozintite. Your thoughts again about the Rebels new stadium.

He can give better detail about all of this. He lives out there.

The 2021 game vs. Iowa State might be a sellout. Cyclones are already getting their covered wagons ready to head west for that one!

I don’t know man. 65,000 is a lot. The product has been so bad and while it may improve some, the MWC draw hurts some as does for the most part the lack of quality OOC teams who are willing to schedule a road game with a Group of 5.

I'll admit it. Before these past two seasons, Iowa has fit this category. They had lost 5 bowl games in 6 seasons, went 4-8 in one of the seasons.

2011 - Insight Bowl - 9-3 Oklahoma over 7-5 Iowa - 31-14.
2012 - 4-8
2013 - Outback Bowl - 9-3 LSU over 8-4 Iowa - 21-14
2014 - TaxSlayer Bowl - 6-6 Tennessee over 7-5 Iowa - 45-28
2015 - Rose Bowl - 11-2 Stanford over 12-1 Iowa - 45-16
2016 - Outback Bowl - 8-4 Florida over 8-4 Iowa - 30-3
