no it is not. a good or better CB benefits from the pressure the DL puts on the QB. some here seem to think that it isa one aspect game but it is combination of all. and there are elite CB's in my world but i think they get even better when they have the help of a good DL. i assume from your comments that you think they do it all on their own

That's not what I'm saying, what I'm saying is we need more than just DLmen and we cannot afford the multiple FA's suggested.

Here is the problem. You are not listening to a word anyone says. We are all listening to you and trying to say why we wouldn't go to that extreme. NO ONE has ever said we don't need to prove the pass rush. And the pass rush does help the coverage for sure...just like the coverage helps the pass rush...team game

Give me a choice of Bosa, Jacks, Reed, Spence, Smith, vs Ramsey or Hargraves
I'm picking a DL or a LB all day does not mean that the CB position does not need attention but I build from the Line back don't mean its right just the way I would do it

I can see the other side that the elite CB gives the DL 1 extra step to get there with coverage

If the Boys don't take a QB at 4 give me Miles Jack and I smile all season long

other opinions will vary and that's what keeps a message board running

you are right of course it is a team game where all aspects of the defense make the individual parts better. all i was trying to do was discuss one portion or aspect that i feel needs some major improvement. i also believe that we need to improve the corner position and the 1st part of that is cutting Carr lose and thru the draft and free agency bringing in some one like Hargreaves thru the draft and perhaps some one like Janoris Jenkins thru free agency. with Orlando Scandrick, Terrance Mitchell & Deji Olatoye that would be a major upgrade at the CB position. and i would move Byron Jones to FS.
