Best ever??? What were they drinking at Ricks SB party? I'm not sure they were better than the Seahawks D from two years ago when they beat Den
I'd have to agree. The Seahawks from two years ago, the 2000 Ravens, the 85 Bears, 2002 Bucs, 78 Steelers, Doomsday 1+2, I could see this Denver squad as top 10, but they aren't top 5 in my book

I'm never big on giving older RB's longterm deals, but a 1 or 2 year deal on Matt Forte would be very interesting IMO

My first thought was he and romo out of the backfield, short passing game could really click. My guess is he will have quite a few offers.

Forte has always been hit and miss to me. Great fanatasy PPR RB, but has he ever really been a great RB? Plus he is always hurt and even older now. He was outplayed by their rookie last year. Pass unless there is no interest and we can get him cheap enough to be in a rotation.

I'm not sure the desire for a big dollar FA or early pick at RB. McFadden was OK last year. Looks like we have a decent guy to rotate with him and yes, I'm still high on Dunbar as a 3rd down and change of pace Guy (although one more big injury likely changes my mind). I'd love to add a good RB to the mix, but not more than I'd like to add a player at a bunch more spots.

I was excited last year that they finally started using Dunbar. I hope he has an increased role this year. His versatility makes him a good weapon.

in his 3 full games he caught 21 passes - that's a 112 catches over 16 game pace. Then the game he got hurt in he had 3 rushes for 54 yards in a half. He has a big play, explosive skill set when out in space that no one else on the team seems to have.

You called for Dunbar to get playing time more than anyone else on here. Most me included said Dunbar was expendable. In hindsight his going down may have been bigger than Tony and Dez.
Hopefully the team now sees what you saw.

competition an absolute must at RB.
work load for a small specialty back must be limited to stay upright

No doubt and I think we will see it. McFadden played well, but has earned no guarantee of anything other than being penciled atop the depth chart as of today. Turbin showed some promise as a good rotation guy and Dunbar shows he can be special in space, but also fragile. They liked Malena last year so maybe he gets in the fight and I hope and think we will see a FA or draft pick too. My hope is it won't be an early round pick or big $ FA. This team needs too much on the other side of the ball to look at RB in the first or second unless it's a guy they feel could be Emmitt part II...One thing we know about McFadden. Even if he continues to play well he is injury prone and not a spring chicken...
