Muzzin: "I have to get better"

Per Kings Insider:

Jake Muzzin wasn’t happy with his performance last night, saying that it was “not good enough, really.”

“First game back I thought I did well, and then kind of let off a little,” he said. “We played a fast scoring team last night that I didn’t prepare properly for. So, I’ve got to get better and I’ve got to be better for the guys.” (and for your $4M)

As he noted, his shortcomings were “all preparation.”
“I wasn’t good enough getting ready and it’s on my own that I have to do a little better getting ready for the guys,” he said.

To be fair he isn't making that $4M yet. That doesn't kick in until next season. But he's right. He had a terrible game and the OT winner by Schenn was a direct result of one of his mistake at the blue line. I have supported Muzzin in the past but last night was a very disappointing performance. Not only does he need to be better he should be better. He isn't a rookie any more.
