Who would have thought starting the season that the Rangers would be a welcome sight after a lackluster performance on our home weekend? Hopefully we are able to turn it around starting tonight because we could really use this series to get back on track. IMO, I am more concerned with keeping the Rangers down than losing three to the A's. Here are our projected matchups:

4/11 - Lewis vs Kuma (I like this game to get back on track)

4/12 - Holland vs Miley

4/13 - Griffen vs Walker

I like game 1 & 3 assuming we can actually hit the ball, what a concept........

"More Cowbell?"

"More SETH SMITH, please"...
How about "More hits at home"? From the sound of things so far, we just have to find a way to generate an offense in our own park, a problem that's definitely plagued us for years.

Safeco not a hitters' park? No one told the other teams that, but I'm hoping they find a way. DiPoto, let's see what you do about these guys.

People have said and alluded to that other teams can come into Safeco and hit the ball where the Mariners can't, The numbers show that it's pretty evident that away teams don't hit any better in Safeco than the Mariners, and overall they may be slightly worse, and it really doesn't matter how far back you go.

5 years - ..(.235/.298/.367/.665). (.236/.298/.367/.662)
3 years - ..(.244/.305/.388/.693). (.237/.297/.376/.673)
2 years - ..(.247/.304/.388/.693). (.229/.290/.361/.652)

Opponents aren't coming into Safeco and having a field day while the Mariners can't hit. The team does need to improve their bats at home, and it would be nice to see the season home split close to .260 this season (currently sits at .155). If they can do that, and the pitching keeps the opponents around .230, we'll see some great success at home - unfortunately that's a big if.

Seeing a lot of middle fastballs being missed. Either taken or fouled. Lewis has been average at best but Mariners

This crap is unwatchable. I might just quit watching baseball this year.

I cant watch the nba anymore since the Sonics left and I don't know how much more baseball I can watch because the Mariners blow ass every year.

Whoever is in the Mariners PR department that suckers us into this team every year should be working on someones presidential campaign.

Actually already at a point where it feels like the M's achieve something special when they break a streak of 13 outs in a row.

This team is already digging themselves a big hole in a very tough division...

New faces, same outcome... Disappointing...

Those numbers prove that the people who act like Safeco is somehow only difficult to hit in for the M's are idiots.

What's the M's record at Safeco for all of those breakdowns?
