Damn, the count down to football normally doesn't start until at least June. Glad I'm not wasting my time watching this shit show tonight. Just saw the score and really wasn't surprised.

I'll keep trucking because becoming apathetic a week in is depressing. But man.

Yeah. Let's PH for the guy who has 2 hits, not the guy who has 3ks

I'm SORRY.

I can not figure out if I'm a hater or a lover. (I'm a lover, but I hate the results)

Baseball has ALWAYS been my first love, and I wish so much for success.

I am so sorry that I held hope for our team, our new manager, and our new lineup.

I admit that I got sucked in again, @phredmojo and @cezero .

I still want the M's to win, but FUCKK, It may not EVER happen. EVER. EVER. EVER.

I'm 54, THX Seahawks, & Sonics. And even UW, if that counts.
I will be the first to to say, here we go, since I will NEVER jump off the bandwagon. But, c'mon boys, NUT up and actually get a hit when it counts.

This team is already digging themselves a big hole in a very tough division...

New faces, same outcome... Disappointing...

The Mariners always do that. They haven't had a winning record going into May since 2009.

Those numbers prove that the people who act like Safeco is somehow only difficult to hit in for the M's are idiots.

What's the M's record at Safeco for all of those breakdowns?

-------------------Home--------------Away
Last 10 -------- 403-410 ---------- 346-461
Last 5 --------- 192-216 ---------- 184-218
Last 3 --------- 113-130 ---------- 121-122
Last 2 ---------- 77-85 ------------- 86-76

So, yes, they need to hit better at home, so that there's less chances of losing a game 2-1 with the deciding factor being an error or some other stupid crap.

Question to everyone who is panicking right now.

Did anyone really believe that DiPoto and Servais could turn 7 years of Jack Z around in one offseason?

My hope was .500

I don't think it was being overly demanding as a fan. I actually think it's still possible, too.

I've made it pretty clear that it'll take awhile for Dipoto to rebuild the disaster Z left in his wake.

No, but with all of the talk about playing to our ball park and seeing more 'small ball' I damned sure can get pissed off when this new skipper fails to bunt in obvious situations and we still see guys trying to swing for the fence at bat after at bat. I see zero difference thus far in this team over last years in that aspect.

It's not the results that are this frustrating, it's how they are getting them. If they played the game the right way and still lost I wouldn't be half as frustrated. Adding more players next year and still not doing anything but swinging for the fences isn't going to substantially improve their results.

Not panicking yet, (it's week 2)

I would've liked a better start though to the season, I figured with the new philosophy there would be a little more urgency at the plate...

I don't need to see instant perfection but us fans deserve some positive results. They are lucky that us fans still watch this turd show.

Mike Carp too, just Jack had to save face with the Lee trade so he converted him to an OF.

I don't know if he qualifies. Hit .315, then hit .189. Hit .276, then hit .213. Goes to Boston, hits .296 in 2013, then in 2014 hits below .200 for three different teams.

I can't tell because of all those years where it looked like maybe he can hit, but mostly it just looks like he sucks.
