Player 1: "Stop sucking Player 2"
Player 2: "Okay, I have sucked, and I will try to stop sucking. But you suck too. So stop sucking."
Player 3: "Look, we all suck. And we all need to stop sucking."
Player 4: "So I guess the main thing we're taking away from this meeting is to suck less."
Player 1: "Exactly."
Player 2: "I can't wait to go buy a few $100,000 cars and maybe a yacht when the season's over."
Player 3: "What kind of yacht? Know any good dealers in the area?"
Player 4: "Meeting adjourned."

Beltre was such garbage when he played for us, other than defense ... Go figure he improves after he leaves... All you had to do was pitch him outside and he wiffed over and over .... Always tried to pull outside pitches when he was here...

Doesn't that happen with every player that leaves the Ms?

I felt like Beltre knew he had a cushy contract, figured out after a couple of weeks that Safeco wasn't a good park for him, and knew nobody would hold it against him if he struggled offensively in Seattle because that's just what happens in Seattle.

Safeco field must have some kind of illusion that makes the outfield wall look about 25 feet closer or something. Whenever a Seattle player goes to bat they forget everything and swing for the fences.

Wretched. Thankful I am working through the game today so I won't be tempted to watch.

However, today is a good day for Walker to show he can be the ace-in-waiting, if he manages to stop the losing streak.

Yeah, we need to start playing Japanese baseball ... base hits and move the runners along... Home runs are not necessary ....

I actually enjoy watching that type of baseball more. Home runs are cool, but the comeback last Wednesday against Texas where they strung together a bunch of bloopers and Seagar delivered up the middle was awesome to see. Much more reliable than the long ball.

We've known this for at least five years. The culture in the clubhouse has to change in order for that to happen. So far, despite a new GM, and new manager, and basically a new team, the culture in the clubhouse has not changed. It won't change until Cano, Seager, and Cruz set an example. I don't see them doing that.

Nice 30-pitch first inning for Ti. Good job, kid. I have a feeling there will be a pitcher called up from Tacoma before the road trip

More stellar D from Cano letting that ball going 2 mph roll past him.

is it too early for a "game over" comment?

Might be time to send Marte down. If you can't hit mid 80's fastballs there is a serious problem

He honestly looks absolutely lost out there at the plate... He doesn't show any signs of being able to correct it at the moment... We'll see how good Edgar is but he looks like Zunino last year... He has 7 K's in his last 12 AB's and no hits...

I'd rather just send him down and not let him die in the majors like all the previous young players. He isn't great on defense right now either. The alternatives aren't great but I'd rather take care of him as he is still very young.
