I stated the other day how France could not lay off the high above the zone fastball and sure enough he is waving at them again all day today.
Even a blind pitching coach could identify his glaring weakness at the plate.

Julio taking strikes that are hittable then falls behind in the count and starts hacking at nearly everything the pitcher throws ( off the plate and up and in and down and in and bouncing curve balls that hit the dirt around the plate ) Why throw either one of those guys a hittable strike ?
Clearly neither has enough plate discipline to get a good pitch to hit

The Mariners didn't help themselves but the home plate umpires were horrible this series. Yeah you see a bad ump sometimes but not every game. Even the philly announcers were talking about it.

Robo umps cannot get here soon enough.
