I got my wish. Cal out of cleanup spot.

Yea I noticed same as you. Watch 2 fastballs strike and did not swing at either then down 0-2 in the count with the bat never left his shoulder.

Pollock making better contact as of late, but I would like to see him hitting more line drives and hard grounders that can roll thru for a base knock.
He hits too many can of corn pop outs / lazy flies to the outfield.

Nice to see my boy Cabellero in there and SumTin WONG riding the pine. I really want to see Caballero become a regular guy in the line up and WONG sent packing.

Uh maybe I am just jaded but this seems like a whole bunch of crap to me.

I hate that argument. Since I have been a kid there has been a Seattle tax for free agents regardless of the stadium. And to take that argument to the one further, why aren’t FA pitchers taking much less to come to Seattle.

Julio really struggling with pitch recognition

Takes a 1st pitch fastball for a strike ( the only strike he saw the entire at bat )
Then waves and misses at uncle charley bouncing on the plate twice for a K

He needs to be ready to hit fastball strikes and lay off the junk they are throwing at him ( and will continue to throw ) as long as he is hacking at balls well out of the strike zone

He is a good hitter ... just does not look like one this spring due to swinging at the wrong pitches time and time again

I have a bad feeling about this series. Phillies started rough but have really woken up lately. That curve to strike out Julio already makes me dubious about today. Prove me wrong, M's.

Julio must have swung at 5 balls outside the strike zone in that 5th inning at bat of his.

He is going to continue to struggle at the plate until he starts swinging at strikes.

Ended up getting rung up strike 3 ( in his defense, the pitch was off the plate outside )

My argument since Safeco opened. If one is true, then the other should also be true...but isn't. Thank you!!!!

Matt Brash, it's more like road rash lately.

Best arm around but results don't match.
Hopefully he heats up when it warms up. They need him to be above average.

Julio currently at .235. We get Kelenic to hit and Julio loses his powers. We never get nice things.

Awesome game. Great productivity from Kelenic...again. But, PLEASE, limit the post-game interviews with this kid, at least until he gets more comfortable. He is clearly uncomfortable in front of the camera and why in the hell would we want to take him out of his comfort zone?

Yea it was the 2 HR's that bailed us out like I mentioned a few days ago.

Still not enough guys squaring the ball up. France cannot lay off a fastball above the strike zone.

Big Dumper just looks lost at the plate.

Julio swinging at everything except fastball strikes

Calleberro looks good enough to warrant a few starts vs RH pitching. Bench WONG

Kelenic is hotter than a 2 dollar pistol

Suarez is seeing the ball OK just doesn't have the pop in his bat right now.

Teo is a proffesional hitter. I am not worried about him at all ( at the plate )

Crawford slapping the ball around and seems to be seeing pitches well and going after the right ones.

Tip my cap to Gonzalez, was a great night on the mound.

Sewald still scares me some. Brash needs to find his groove and start busting guys inside black of the plate with the fastball.

Glad that Castillo reliever was bumped to Tacoma - I am not a fan of his antics on the mound or his stuff. He may get back to a decent reliever for us, he is far from there and too wild to trust on the bump in a relief role
