It's insane Seattle wont invest in some more batters. They have the best WHIP in the MLB and fewest BB.. that's usually a sign you can go deep in the playoffs... but meanwhile they have horrible batting.

That is kind of the problem with the Mariners, and Jerry has in a round about way admitted that he has built the team for the playoffs. Kind of like how defense wins you championships but offense gets you to the playoffs.

Only took two months and 60 games, but Julio is finally starting to be more selective at the plate. And his OPS immediately starts rising. I hope he connects the dots.
