Think of the relief pitching we have traded in recent years for position players that have not helped us. And our current relief corps has cost us at least 10 games. We bitch about the offense every day, and rightfully so, but the bullpen is equally to blame.

Just take a look at what Dipoto blew up the 2023 bullpen
Justin Topa appeared in 75 games and compiled a 2.61 ERA. He was traded for Polanco.
Isiah Campbell appeared in 27 games and compiled a 2.83 ERA. He was traded for Luis Urias.
And Paul Seward, the saddest story of all. Over 1/2 seasons with us he appeared in 172 games, compiled a 3.00 ERA, saved 52 games and was trade for Canzone, Bliss, and Rojas. Rojas may have looked good early on, but since May 1st he has slashed .192/.268/.269/.537. He. is. not. good. Canzone is almost 27-years-old. He will never amount to much more than a fourth or fifth outfielder. Bliss may eventually work out but the Mariners need Sewald now, not Bliss a year or two from now.
A few of my exact..points..

Mariners give good stuff..
And get..basicly .nothing..

From other teams..

I dis..agree .I.think.rojas good...
Just..the whole team..
Was sucking..
And just bringing.everyone
Down...
Not much fun..on the mariners right now..

Rojas needs .other big guys to be more.
Effective..
When they were not doing .there job .

Pitchers started concentrating..
On Rojas ..
Cuz he was the best player.on the team..

I don't know..but..it's true..

Ya my argument for not making moves is simple. Do you really want a guy that has screwed us with mistake after mistake for 9 years be the guy to deal our future for his kind of hitters? I sure the hell don't. Flush this year, fire the genius and hire a real GM for this offseason. A guy proven from a proven organization. It will never happen in my lifetime, but that is the best move they can make.

I mean we were 12th in runs last year then cut our 2nd and 3rd top RBI guys. I guess they expected Dylan Moore to take up the slack.

There are many on this roster (France included) that deserved the France treatment... but unlucky (maybe lucky?) for him he drew the short straw and made a scapegoat. Only thing I could think of this was a long time coming... dude was never the same following his All Star appearance.

I would still love to know what happened to him. Maybe it is the injuries, but his whole approach changed. He longer went to RF. Just so weird.

Maybe we don't even need to look too deep into it. Players and execs probably hate it here. Even Julio looks so checked out... players like Kelenic didn't even want to acknowledge the org over the winter and Raleigh was pissed at how last season ended. Seems like it's a cultural thing.

That I can believe. I said a couple years back how Frazier and Winker looked so unhappy from the start. Miller just said guys aren't having fun. Add up all the stupid from Dipoto, Stanton and Mathers and you have a horrible culture. I keep saying that players take it personally when teams don't make moves to improve. It is human nature. Why kill yourself for an owner/organization that won't support your need to win?

I don't even think it is intentional by players. It could be subconsciously. That is why we need to flush everyone from manager up. All the way up.

Fine time to finally call out your own "players," Scott...

Fat lot of good that'll do at this point; Stanton has him and Jerry on short leashes and refuses to shop for actual help.

We may have a LOT of devotees to this squad still, but sooner or later, they're gonna wise up, and it's gonna take an all-out boycott just to get the point across.
Question is: Who's gonna be the first to make the move to start it? By which, I mean those who actually go to these games?

Anyone here want to lead an overthrow? I'd put more trust in you all with your knowledge of WAR and stuff over the garbage we have running things now.

Bill Krueger said coming into 2023 France started the stupid launch angle thing. Speculating that is because those guys get paid. Not sure if true but if a manager or coach says the word launch angle they need to be fired. Build a team for success at TMobile Park

That makes a lot of sense. They taught that to Moore and he got paid. I know they wanted France to hit more homers. I believe it, but man that is so stupid. I would love a .300 hitting 1B who hits doubles. I don't need a .250 hitting 1B that hits 15 homers. Worthless.
