I won’t get into it deeper then just saying unfortunate

I will. He's a fucking idiot for not getting vaccinated. Baseball players in general are pretty dumb when it comes to these kinds of things.

Looking more and more like the Mariners have a 24 yr old Ace. Gilbert has been killing it on the hill.

Well, I should know better than to say something good about a player cuz I think it just jinxes them I guess. lol

Maybe not though :pound:

I guess Kukichi's option isn't as guaranteed as it was with each start he makes.

Why is the radio broadcast on a 5 minute delay? It shocked me when twitter showed France hitting a homer and the radio still had JP coming to lead off the inning.

Would be nice to see the bullpen just shut down the other team late for once. Really hoping today's game isn't a repeat of Friday.

He has great stuff and a unique body type to sustain success. I know you don't like Goldsmith, but that stat about Gilbert's length adding 3mph to his perceived velocity is a nice factor in his ability.

Once he's stretched out a little more and hopefully avoids major injury, kid might be able to dominate.

I f'n have no idea why there's the delay, but I sure noticed it yesterday when I didn't want to listen to RR Smith and Goldsmith. What's even more weird is we have Dish sattelite and there is a few second delay between the family room and the bedroom. Go figure. :noidea:

OK, generally speaking, you are correct about how I view Goldsmith, but that aside, the info he shared about Gilbert's reach and the effect it has on a batter's perceived view of the speed was interesting and definately a plus for Logan.

There was even a delay on the broadcast call Friday. Might just be something with the production from LA.

Gawd, France has been hit so many times and this one looked so bad. Hope he's OK.

Wow, that was so ugly but glad he's OK

Ok, how long before France gets hit and this team unloads on a pitcher?

It's been a while since we had a good fight (Sexson?)

edit: Joe warning the teams now

Why did the Mariners call up Kelenic? Bases loaded, 1 out and he strikes out where not 1 of the 5 pitches he saw was anywhere close to the strike zone. Not impressed.

It's still a building year and there's only so much you can do against AAA pitching. Why not get him more looks at ML pitching?

He just got another hit off a lefty.

Ya I didn't even think about watching it on TV and trying to listen to the radio. That would drive me crazy with the delay. It is a good 5 minutes on mine. Once I started watching the ESPN stat cast I couldn't go back to the radio that was behind.

I dunno, I hope he's good enough to get past it, but I feel like the M's have completely botched his season so far.

Eh, the strikeout wasn’t the issue. The issue was him trying to pull an ARod on it. That is a freak thing that happens in baseball, but putting on a 10 second acting class like he was hit was more concerning.

He's gonna have to start getting deeper in games, IMO. Granted, all our starters need to start getting deeper in games, or at least be allowed to go deeper in games. Our starters have only cracked 100 pitches 16 times this season in 94 games. at only 82 pitches per start, it's no wonder our starters are averaging less than 5 innings per start (4.97).
