He also said a few days ago Kikuchi has a good chance to be traded, the only selling I want to see is Haniger for the right price or Seager

It would not kill me if Kikuchi was traded while his value is high. He just turned 30, has only had about a dozen good starts in his career (consistent wise), and now will be owed $66M from age 31-34. It wouldn't kill me if they kept him either, but for a cheap ass org like M's that is a big chunk for his age and contribution.

Haniger and Seager yes/yes.

Yea I agree with what you said. if Kikuchi is being traded seems like a weird time to trade him since per Dipoto they are aiming for next year to compete. Although if the price is high enough anyone is trade able

That wasn't my point, but yes that premise is true. My point is his value may be at its highest and his career has shown more bad than good though the good has been of late.

And Mariners are always one year away from contending. I think the first GM said the same thing when Diego Segui threw out the first ever pitch...lol.

Lol yea on the second point you are going past my time zone with the Mariners lmao.

But I agree if you get a really good package for Kikuchi might as well pull the trigger. My concern is they won’t and will trade him just to trade him.

also I’m not trying to come off as just trying to argue with you if that’s how it’s seems

The plan behind the plate

During this week’s Jerry Dipoto Show, the Mariners’ general manager announced that top prospect Jarred Kelenic would be returning to the big leagues Friday. Kelenic isn’t the only top Seattle prospect who’s been added to the club of late, as catcher Cal Raleigh made his MLB debut last Sunday in the Mariners’ final game before the All-Star break.

Now, Raleigh is on the roster along with fellow backstops Tom Murphy and Luis Torrens, both of whom have received plenty of playing time this year.

With Raleigh in the mix and the two more veteran players still on the roster, what’s the plan at catcher? Dipoto said the team will be creative with managing the roster coming out of the All-Star break with the catchers specifically and the roster in general.

“We’re going to carry three catchers and see how frequently we can get (Torrens) in there against left-handed pitching and get Tom Murphy some reps, and he does such a good job managing our pitchers,” Dipoto said. “But we also want to see Cal play on a regular basis. And as fun as it is to be in a position right now to dream of the second half and hitting the postseason, we also want to focus on the discipline of giving these young players (like Kelenic and Raleigh) their reps, because that’s just so important to what happens moving forward for us.”

God I just want JRod to come to Tacoma. I’ve gone a few time this year but am sitting on free tickets they gave me to any game of my choosing and he would be it.

Kelenics first two ABs look like nothing has changed. Not attacking fastballs and chasing breaking pitches

I cut out my cable so I will have nothing to bitch to you all about (yes you are welcome). It seems the only way to get their games is AT&T TV which puts me right back up to what I was paying before I cut Xfinity.

I am listening to the radio (710) which I have not done since the 80's...1980's not my 80's.

I don’t really understand pulling Flexen at 79 pitches but at least they got thru that inning still up 4
