Field of Dreams- loved
Rear Window- Hitchcock fan, this has been on my list for too long. Need to watch.
Green Mile- need to watch.
Die Hard- Sadly this is up there with Point Break and Top Gun that I embarrassed to have never seen.
Breakfast Club- watched

if you're looking old school

Harvey (1950) was nice
What's Up Doc (1972), while annoying streisand could get it
Ikiru (1952) - if you work in an office (bureaucracy), it'll give you a goal, build a park before you die, mofo
Nights of Cabiria (1957) - Giulietta Masina , what can I say. beautiful and tragic. of course the last two require reading subtitles, but well worth it.

I could go on of course. Hell, my favorite movie of all time might be M (1931) Fitz Lang. You can see how much was spawned from it, such a great film, they only had enough money to use so much sound, but the moments they chose not to use the sounds... everything is soo good.
The reason you listed is why I love 12 Angry Men. It is a great film. Also why I love film noire. Using the lack of a budget and shadows with darkness to the films advantage.

Watched Citizen Cane though, and I get that it was revolutionary... but I just wasn’t head over heels about it. It was alright, I don’t know. I feel like I am missing something.

If you haven't seen M, it's great, i guess even more so when you remember when it was made.

i'm sure there's better quality out there, but just watch the opening to get taste

If you like suspenseful sci-fi/horror movies, you’ll love it.

If you haven't seen The Thing and even dare mention 'best horror movies' gtfo. That movie is without a doubt the best horror film of all time. Perfect to watch during the holidays, can pour yourself a drink anytime without feeling guilty, last of it's kind in terms of horror films with practical effects that STILL hold up today, and no PC bullshit. That movie is a RARE 10/10 overall and I can't think of any other horror movie I'd give 10/10. Aliens MAYBE is about all I can think of.

Pulp Fiction -- If not invented, they popularized the concept of a non linear story, plus lots of great characters and dialogue.
Have you seen Memento? If not, it is awesome.

Yea, I think that is next on my list after the feedback and watching Hateful 8 and hearing comparisons.

I edited after you quoted my post, but get the fuck off SportsHoopla and watch that film asap. Pour yourself some whiskey/scotch prior. Early 80s, and STILL holds up today. That film is a 'how to' in terms of creating atmospheric tension and writing a horror movie without a bunch of stupid jump scares.
