Bills (obviously)

Bruce Smith - 200 career sacks, 2-time defensive player of the year
Thurman Thomas - NFL MVP, Bills all-time rusher
OJ Simpson - NFL MVP, first running back to rush over 2k yards in a season
Jim Kelly - Perfected the No Huddle Offense, had the highest passer rating in the 1991 NFL Season

If there were 5, I would put Jack Kemp there.

I know he can't crack that top 4 but sure liked Cookie Gilchrist, he was the first AFLer to have a 1000 yard season, and he had a personality. His RC one of my prized possesions.

Gilchrist would be in my top 10, but not in my top 5 or top 4.

Gilchrist would be in my top 10, but not in my top 5 or top 4.

In his three season Bills career, he was a three time pro bowler, twice All Pro, over 3000 yards rushing, over 30 td's and a 4.5 average per carry.

Bills
Marv Levy
Bruce Smith
Jim Kelly
Thurman Thomas

there are some players from the 60's who played in AFL Championship games who might deserve to be on the list; I'm not very familiar with that era.
How can you leave out OJ Simpson?

I can see that but most historians wll tell you how Grange brought the NFL to it;s popularity, hell.....he rode around on a train "come see The Galloping Ghost run".....type thing. He was the first big star of pro football, Singetary just another stud LBer.

No Bear made a bigger impact on the game than Grange

Take out Perry. Insert Steve Young
If you put Steve Young then don’t you have leapfrog Steve Young with Deion? Since without Deion Steve Young would still be without a ring as a starter.

Joe Perry is bigger in footbal history than Steve Young, he was the first black RB to gain a 1000 yards in a season, the first RB to have consecutive 1000 yard seasons and is STILL in the top 40ish (34) all time rushers, when he retired he was number one. He is the only 1000 yard rusher with just a JC education, Compton JC.

Perry stays!

This is fun and difficult at the same time.

Giants
Emlen Tunnell
Frank Gifford
Phil Simms
Lawrence Taylor

Really?? How can a giants list be made without Eli. And no I am not joking. Phil Simms over Eli is a joke. And you should be ashamed. And yes I am exaggerating my disgust.

I know. I know. The Giants have such a long history...when you do this great ones will be left out. I will consider your concern and do reserve the right to change my mind.

There is no what era in this, that is why Don Hutson is still considered to be one of the top three WR ever. Only LT more important in Giants lore.

Didn't say there was... But if you think all eras are treated equally you would be wrong.. Also, position matters...

Tunnel may be top 5... but no way is he top 3... and there is a big leap between 3 and 4 for the giants...
