The 4 Oilers I listed are all HOFers. Hennigan isn't.

Night Train Lane.....7 pro bowls, 3 All Pro....14 INTS as a rookie, 4th all time list
Barry Sanders
Lem Barney

The problem with Night Train Lane is that Detroit was his third team. His best years were arguably with the Cardinals.

He was a three time All Pro, twice with the Lions, his first 4 seasons as a Lion an incredible 49 INT's. wow!!!!

I always think of him as a Lion. What did he enter the HOF as, hmmmm?

Lynn Swann is a HOFer
Floyd Little is a HOFer

Charley Hennigan held the all time receiving yards record of over 1700 in a season for years. he made a huge impact on the AFL in his day.

Everybody who knows the Browns history would.

It's always funny to have a conversation with someone who thinks they know everything.

The NFL/AFL merger was in 1966. Hennigan spent his entire career in the AFL. Look I'm not trying to diminish what he did. He had a great career, but it wasn't in the NFL.

I'm a lifelong Browns fan, don't need to read up on anything. This entire thread is nothing but opinions. I gave mine. You don't agree. And that's fine.

Don't really play that. but.......can see it played.

When Lance Alworth was playing it was common knowledge he was the best WR there was, NFL, AFL didn't matter.

So where would you put Motley in that Browns top 10?

This is true
Most old time Oilers fans would suggest Elvin Bethea

Bethea was never an All Pro,

But, HBCU power

Robert Brazile two time All Pro.

he's in the HOF and an 8 time Pro Bowl player and a huge Fan Favorite
I didn't say he should replace the 4 mentioned...only that he deserves consideration
Besides....Hennigan only played 7 seasons

Why does that even matter? This thread is about a teams Mount Rushmore, four players. But to answer your question so you don't try to change the topic again I'd put him at 7. The most important people in Cleveland Browns history starts with Paul Brown, then the players.

Paul Brown, Jim Brown, Otto Graham, Ozzie Newsome, Joe Thomas (yep him again), Paul Warfield, Motley.

MM's last four years in the league he scored four total TD's.
