Another good one from my always reliable dad...

Who is the only pitcher to have 300+ wins, 3000+ strikeouts, and less than 100 walks (!) given up in their career?
Even though you mangled the question…

Who was the last player to wear #3 in a Yankee uniform after Babe Ruth and #7 before Mantle wore it? Hint--its one guy.

Nope. This guy wore #3 until the Yankees retired it in 1948 and was given #7. He wore that until he was traded to the Browns in 1951. Mantle was given #7 in 1951 after his recall from the minors.

Crazy how the #3 took so long to retire and other players were allowed to even wear it.......

I'm out. I looked at the roster for the late 40's and I see Rizzuto was a career Yankee so it's not him. I don't really recognize many of the other players so without cheating I could never get this one. I'd like to think it's Snuffy Stirnweiss though.

And he will not be. Thanks to the Ohtani Rule, he would officially be the DH when he bats, so he would not qualify as a pitcher hitting a HR.

Well, if we're going that route I'm assuming that Gonzalez guy hit one in garbage time last night.
