I got my information from PBS. Neal Ball pulled it off. If they were mistaken, I apologize.I looked it up.
I don’t see any instance of an unassisted triple play that Wagner was a part of.
The disputed first was by Paul Hines of the Grays against the Red Caps (Braves) in 1878.
The first in the modern era was by Neal Ball of the Naps (Guardians) against the Red Sox in 1909.
Was one of them a Phillies guy? I kind of remember it.It has happened twice since Tulo did it.
Eric Brundtlett in ‘09 against the Mutts. Was one of them a Phillies guy? I kind of remember it.
Wagner was with the Pirates when it happened. Ball was with the Naps and he turned it against the Red Sox.I got my information from PBS. Neal Ball pulled it off. If they were mistaken, I apologize.
wow, I remember it now but that would have been a tough name to come up with even though I saw it live. Alec Bohm's brutal defense has somehow made me forget all Phillies 3b back to Pedro Feliz.Eric Brundtlett in ‘09 against the Mutts.
That is correct. My information was faulty.Wagner was with the Pirates when it happened. Ball was with the Naps and he turned it against the Red Sox.
Peter Happy.wow, I remember it now but that would have been a tough name to come up with even though I saw it live. Alec Bohm's brutal defense has somehow made me forget all Phillies 3b back to Pedro Feliz.

Eric Bruntlett saved Lidge's bacon one Sunday afternoon in Queens back in '09.Was one of them a Phillies guy? I kind of remember it.
