Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Red Sox are in serious discussions to acquire catcher Danny Jansen from the Blue Jays.
No word yet on what the Jays would get in a potential return package, but it sounds like the 29-year-old backstop could be on the move shortly. If the Red Sox are successful in acquiring Jansen, it seems like Reese McGuire would be the odd man out there in their catching mix.

Probably a situation like Paxton where a deal will be worked out. Anybody in the NL should take note. He’s got a Phillies killing bat.

They are just looking to see if someone is willing to take the entire contract off their hands, in return for minimal return.

A couple teams should be in on Bell for basically free.

Believe the return for the Rays is Morel and two prospects.

Weird what the Cubs are doing right now. That does give them a much needed offensive boost, and he can fill a variety of INF positions.

Dumb is what I call it

Last in the division and 6 gb of a final wc spot lol make it make sense

not just 6 back but behind 5 teams that are outside the WC much less the ones that do have current WC spots

It's basically impossible to jump that many teams outside of win 2 out of every 3 games for rest of the year.

I don’t think they have an eye on him for this year. I think it’s about filling a hole for next season.

That's a good pickup, especially for Yankee stadium. Remember when they got Didi Gregorious and he started hitting 25 bombs a year there?
Didi was a god in NY until he wasn’t

CLE signed him too and threw him on waivers. He might give a team a nice little stretch, maybe a playoff run…worth a shot if you are in need

Then he was good in Philly until he wasn't. (which was only one year)

The thing about Jazz is he's a good offensive player if he plays second base or something, but if he's an outfielder his offensive stats obviously don't look as good. But it's good to have a versatile guy like that.
