That was my thinking since we have a Mariners Trade Deadline Thread. I like to keep them separate because of the amount of reports that come in.@NWinAZ is this thread mostly just for non-Mariners related stuff?
Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that Max Scherzer has approved the deal to the Rangers and all financial details have been worked out.
Saying it now before it happens, I've got a bad feeling about this trade deadline.
I hope I'm wrong but I'd rather see us not do anything and actually just spend money in free agency on additions.
Seems to me the more they spend the worse off.it makes them....no..not this year..Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that Max Scherzer has approved the deal to the Rangers and all financial details have been worked out.
Luisangel Acuña will head to the Mets in the deal. Scherzer will also exercise his $43.33 million player option and remain with the Rangers for the 2024 season. The Mets are also sending a substantial amount of cash to the Rangers in the deal. The Rangers will only pay $22.5 million for the remainder of the 2023 season and all of 2024, while the Mets will be on the hook for the remaining $35 million-plus.
Got it, that's what I figured. That was my thinking since we have a Mariners Trade Deadline Thread. I like to keep them separate because of the amount of reports that come in.
Oh no, you're good bro lol. Just wasn't sure if it was a duplicate thread and wasn't sure if I should direct my posts regarding the Mariners there or here.Did you have other ideas with it? I didn't mean to step on toes if I did.
Oh ok. I definitely like having the mariners thread just for M's stuff even though I don't know if it will have much going on in it. Not sure if I want them making much noise. I. Don't. Trust. DIPoto.Oh no, you're good bro lol. Just wasn't sure if it was a duplicate thread and wasn't sure if I should direct my posts regarding the Mariners there or here.
