I saw this right before the Royals start going off.

I should have never had hope as a Chicago fan. Sports Gods are smiting me.

Meh. We all knew he was going to start the season. Foles won’t last an entire season. In Jacksonville he didn’t even last a game.

I still thought Foles had a legit shot. But I agree he would have had to win it in convincing fashion. Anything resembling a tie would have gone to Mitch, and it did.

And that's all fine and well (FWIW, he didn't last a quarter, lol). My concern is more that Mitch will put us in a hole before being swapped out or perhaps it will just totally be too late.

With our easy schedule early on. I really fear us getting out to a strong start and then Mitch's leash gets extended. Before we wind-up watching him lead us down a pitiful losing streak in the 2nd half while our season slips away and Nagy does nothing.

So much for the stupid ass theory Trubisky is only on the roster because the coaches were worried about his feelings...durrrrrrr

If we win the title this year, it will require finesse. I think Mitch could go 4-0 to start the season, then he will struggle a few games. Meanwhile, Foles will keep learning the playbook and be ready when he’s called upon.

Well let’s see how this goes. Back healthy, maybe we’ll see Trubisky using his legs again. Maybe just maybe Trubisky can be a serviceable QB this year

So last year it seemed like the coach, the very same coach who got his job by saying he could turn mitch into an nfl qb actually threw him under the bus by making the O predictable. IDK, maybe the coach sucks, maybe the q sucks, maybe they both suck. we need a running game that can get the D a breath and the team will be worth watching.

Your offense will always be predictable when you have the worst starting QB in football and he can't function with anything less than a near-perfect setting around him. The line went from borderline elite to below average and Mitch went from "somewhat serviceable" to "clown show"

Mitch had a tear in his non-throwing labrum. I train athletes and had that injury as an athlete. Let's be very clear that this would have no impact on his ability to run last season. That was a conscious decision and you could see it even in the early games. Even before the season there was talks about "protecting his body".

There's nothing to "protect" anymore. He has nothing to lose. His legs were the only thing that had him making a consistent impact in 2018. He will probably never be a "good" passer. Time to to throw everything at em that you can to win games.

Mahomes and Watson both got 9 figure deals....Trubisky barely made starter.

I'm sorry. I know it's the meatball take and has been buried into the ground as dead as dead a horse it can be.... But I can't even...

In a my Man of La Mancha world, Foles will not see the filed in 2020 because Trubisky will own the position all season long. I can dream, can't I - even if it's the impossible dream?

Mitchell Trubisky, with full support of the NFL hierarchy and NFL Films division, will in probably best succeed at provide us ing us Foles/Brady primetime on October 8. The only thing missing will be that dork Burton. (Speaking of...He's hurt again...lulz)

Trubisky owns the Lions. It only makes sense. Then they'll turn to Foles. :)
