Another note on O'Korn - here are some QBs that finished behind him in total QBR that year:

Garrett Grayson
Trevone Boykin
Paxton Lynch

And he was a true freshman that year. Maybe total QBR isn't exactly the end all/be all.

For a true freshman those numbers aren't awful. 30/10 doesn't happen to awful QBs, no matter what.

30/10 can be deceptive. Especially when 23 of those TD's came against #117, #107, #100, #102, #69, #80, #143, and #223 in Sagarin's ratings. Maybe if he would have done SOMETHING against a quality opponent I would have a different stance. But he didn't. I realize everybody alot of QB's put up numbers against shitty competition, it happens, but a good QB will at least show you something against a quality opponent.

He was shitty against the #35, #36, #25, #20, and #67 in Sagarin's ratings.

I see what you're saying, but it's not like he was a junior playing in his 3rd year in this offense. All things considered, I certainly wouldn't call him below average. True freshmen rarely do that well even against the shitty competition.

And those numbers are extremely inflated. If he was good he wouldn't have been 99th in total QBR that season. That is atrocious.

And please spare on "he showed he can make the throws" bs. I can almost guarantee you didn't watch one single game he's played in.

They have this crazy thing called the Internet where you can go back and look at highlights from previous seasons.

You should check it out. All the cool kids use it. :)

Boykin and Lynch were awful in 2013, have they been good since then, of course. But those were awful seasons. Grayson's season is comparable to O'Korn, but Grayson followed that up with a 32/7 season and O'Korn followed that up with a 4/8 season.

Oh so you went back and watched his games against Southern, Texas San Antonio, Rice and Memphis? Yeah that makes you super fucking cool.

He was an 18 year old kid right out of high school. Even the truly elite recruits will struggle making the jump from high school to college at times.

There's nothing to suggest based his body of work that he is anything but below average.

He also went from one coordinator to another. That is why I wish UM had Ruddock coming back. We haven't had a good QB returning in a long long time it seems. Denard was a running back playing QB so I don't count him.

Not Harbaugh though! He won 4 BigTen titles, 4 bowl games, 3 Natty's, was a 3x 1st team All American & won the Heisman. Right?:noidea:

I decided to look up Ruddock's QBR and he was a better QB than Connor Cook, JT Barrett, Paxton Lynch, etc. Hell, Ruddock was a top 10 QB last year. :)

Yawn. It wasn't even funny the first dozen times you tried this joke.

I didn't realize you had to watch full games to see someone make a throw? Interesting concept. FYI -- it is much easier to just watch highlights.

I apologize. You really are a cool guy for going back and watching anything against Southern, UTSA, Rice and Memphis. I'm surprised there's even footage of those games.

He was really good against the shitty competition and was awful against Utah and MSU, he actually was alright against OSU, even though Michigan got their shit pushed in.

BS. QBR says he was a better QB than multiple guys who are considered 1st round picks in the draft this year.

Hell. ND should have brought him on. He was better than ND's QB too. :)

Yeah. It is crazy. You wouldn't believe it. You can literally watch highlights from anyone playong in the NFL, all the way to pop warner highlights.

I think this Internet thing is really going to take off and become popular.
