Yeah, anytime a guy's quotes need to be translated, things can be implied differently from what was actually said or meant.

Probably not a big deal since he's a goalie. Is Neuvy trying to be the new Tim Thomas?

I'm sure this is going to fire up Holtby! So I kinda like it. He seems like a guy that plays better pissed.

It does seem like a bit is lost in translation. Kept saying "Holtby is the worst competition he's had" when it seems like he really means he's the least experienced, so Neuvirth is more comfortable in assuming he'll get playing time. Still some non-PC comments, but hey, we all like a little controversy.

I know when we deal with clients who's primary language is not English, they will say and e-mail things that sound rude and stand offish when in reality what they mean to say and what actually is said are two different things. I think there is a decent amount of that here.

Call me crazy, but I still want Neuvirth in net over the course of a season ahead of Holtby, until proven otherwise. A lot of goalies have crazy playoff runs. At this point, i consider them even at worst heading into the season.

Agree 100%. I'd like to see them get relatively even playing time through the first 55-60 games and then make a call about who the primary starter is by that time. Both these guys have their good points - Neuvy is a steady Eddie back there and very technically sound, Holtby has serious mojo and when he's on he can take over a game.
