My best guess, Santos didn't know it was a punt. They weren't in a punt formation, he turned and ran with a WR, the next thing he knows is a football bouncing in front of him, also the WR gives him a shove into the ball, yes he could have avoided contact with the ball, but people should have been yelling at him that it was a punt.

Idk...if it's a pass, it's already hit the ground, so slapping it out of bounds is unnecessary. If it's a fumble or punt, the result is the same. No reason for him to do that.

They literally have no idea what it's like in Memorial Stadium.

Not really surprising though. Just like when all of the recruits come here and then afterwards are blown away by how loud the conservative farm folk are.

The perception of this place is just so far from reality to those schools so far away. They think we drive up in our pickup trucks, chug a few beers in the parking lot, and then walk in with our 3 teeth and a big ass grin on our face and stand there not knowing what in the hell is going on.

Yea, they certainly do exist here. There is no doubt about that.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I drink beer in the parking lot and walk in with a huge grin on my face as well. I do that like a champ.

Been reading up on Miami a lil bit tonight. They have legit prep talent across the board. There's no area where Miami doesn't match up on paper except maybe the kicking game and of course QB is a question for them. They won't be intimidated coming in here. They're just as fast and just as talented. Comes down to preparation and coaching. Maybe a little home-field advantage.

This game is a toss up at this point. Whoever shows up that day wins. Can't afford to start slow.

Haven't gotten a good look at their signal caller, prob watch some highlights.

Duke Johnson is going to average 6 yards a carry on us unless we load the box. I'm interested in seeing how we play him defensively.

From the limited tape I've seen, they look a little anemic at D-Line. Definitely don't look anything like Nebraska. Then again neither did McNeese.

Phillip Dorsett is the real deal at WR as well. 200+ yards receiving last week vs Arky St. Only 2 other Miami recievers have surpassed 200 all time.

Shut him down and Johnson could be manageable. I respect these guys a lot more than I would have if we hadn't played McNeese so close.

That Dorsett kid is fast. During summer training he was clocked doing the 40 at 4.21. That's an average of several stopwatches, so not as accurate as electronic timing, but holy shit

He's not a tall guy. J. Mitch can keep up with him. I'm just worried about mental mistakes because that dude can burn us. Their other WR's aren't slouches either. Braxton Berrios was a top 15 rivals kid out of NC and he's been getting going lately.

I'm not blowing smoke up Miami's ass by any means, they're NOT better than Nebraska, but they're the best team we will have seen to this point by far.
