I think the roster will remain intact from last year - I think the most likely not to make the team will be the young guys like Hamilton and some of those guys. An all out youth movement for Miami would be nice, but they do not seem ready for that and will stick with going with veterans in that role for now.

League considering allowing streams of games in local markets for mobile or broadband. Hopefully this help benefit others who would normally miss out on games.

It was nice to see, but don't you hold your breathe and cringe every trip up and down the court?

These last 2 games proved exactly what I already knew even though some seem to think differently. D-Wade is by far the 2nd best player on this team when he's healthy. He can easily avg between 22-24 PPG this year on close to 50% shooting when he's healthy

A HEALTHY Wade is still league top 10 player.
He looks great preseason. Let's hopefully see him looking the same way in May/June so we don't have to see any game 7s this post season.

As JVG said just now during the Chicago/OKC game, D-Wade is the most underrated player in the league because people are talking about him like he's washed up and done. Wade is a guy who's taking a back seat to LBJ because he loves winning. If he really only cared about numbers he could have gone somewhere where he was the first option and I'm almost certainly avg 25+ PPG on his 18 or 19 shots that he would get as the #1 option instead of the 15 he currently gets as option #2. People forget that last year he avg 21 PPG on about 50% and he was a top 5 player from January-Mid March

Alot of people just like to focus on numbers and are at best short-sighted. People like to knock the stat, but PER is definitely a good bench mark. Lebron's been getting at 30+ the last couple years and has flirted with a couple of Jordan's PER's during his respective MVP seasons. But those who ignore it usually just like to look at PPG as well as ignore FG%.

Yep like last year the only thing Harden did better than Wade was score better which was due to him attempting more shots but Wade shot nearly 10% higher than him from the field. As for PER you're correct also. Wade finished 3rd and 7th in PER In the last 2 years which led SG both years.

Anyway so tonight was the dress rehearsal game and we looked a lot like we did last year in terms of the rotation. Had the same starting lineup with the first 4 guys coming off the bench being the same 4 that always do (Cole, Ray, Bird, and Shane). However tonight Beasley was the 10th man as he replaced LBJ when he LBJ got his first break. According to Mike Wallace of espn.com, the 10th position may change depending on matchups. I wonder who will be the 2 daily inactive players this year? Maybe Roger Mason and Oden to start the year.

That is why I didn't stay tuned into the game for too long. Can't wait for the season to start. So far, I have liked the effort they have played with considering it is preseason... Hopefully that translates to similar efforts even early in the regular season and lesser teams.

Don't kill me for asking this - just trying to create conversation since I saw the headline on ESPN... Since the Heat is giving guys second chances it seems as is the case with Beas and Oden - What about Royce White? He was just released by the 76ers... He has some medical issues( anxiety disorder) that has caused him some trouble... you think the Heat can pick him up, help him out and maybe see what he can do for us in some capacity?

Absolutely not. Listen Paolo, I know I will never be able to convince you of the value that Shane gives to this team and you'll always be at the very least skeptical about Beasley. But I've read on Royce White's situation through various CBS articles. The guy had no problem throwing the Rocket's management under the bus publicly. I just can't for the life of me understand why you would join the NBA if you have a fear of flying. I think he's handled the situation immaturely and we're better off with Beasley due to familiarity and knowing that he can handle this level of competition.

If we only played Orlando 82 times a year, he would be a perfect fit!

Here is the list of guys cut so far: any interest in them?

A little shocked and disappointed E. Griffin was let go by the Heat. Hope he gets a chance to stick close to the team in the D-League maybe
