I wouldn't say that they'll cut all those guys especially Tua. Gesicki will most likely be gone, Obbah after Chubb was resigned, X could be sent packing and possibly Jones as he may not even recover. Out of those guys Gesicki, Ogbah and Jones haven't really contributed much or at all. They'll be adding a lot of good young talent off IR especially in the secondary. Cap can be manipulated as well in case guys like NW have forgotten.
The cap can be manipulated of course. It's called playing kick the can. Oh and the player and NFLPA have to "agree" to those contract changes. Miami will continue to struggle for the forseeable future.

NE still has 2 or 3 years depending on the 5 year option before they need to worry about that. Nice deflection though. If Tua sneezes to hard, he could have multiple concussions before that happens.

Agree!!!

Tua> mac by a mile . Hell zappe>mac . Am i right @Southieinnc :suds:. Hes
My zappe guy
Mac certainly regressed this year. NE had/has a lot of issues that may or may not have contributed to that? Lack of an OC is just one reason IMO. Terrible Oline was/is another. I think those can be fixed this offseason. But some of the decisions Mac has made concern me.
Way too often he has ran OB or slid short of the 1st. Missed open receivers badly or just didn't see them. I'm willing to give him another season/half season before pulling the plug on him after seeing what BB does this offseason. As you mentioned NE is Zappy with Zappe besides Bill likely finds another no name QB to sit on the practice squad who will leave people shaking their heads.

Can't disagree but Tua needs to be more available or the Fins need a better backup QB or better yet QB's. Although someone said that there have been 64 QB's playing so far this year means on average every QB has been out. So much for protecting the QB's it's not working.

I'm not sure if Zappe's better but he's not worse.

I agree on just about all points. Obviously theres alot of factors hindering your offense this year. Gonestly, im shocked mac is doing as well as he is this year with that setup. Mac honestly was never a guy I was high on. Felt he could be decent. But give him a chance to succeed at least. Its pathetic what he is working with, on many fronts

he does need to be available more. But the concussion stuff is just freak injuries. Thats not even something you can go and say a guy is concussion prone. Tua does have injury concerns Overall though. But yeah every qb is getting killed it seems.

Bottom line is that they don't use Gesicki enough for his salary so he'll be gone.

I disagree with Armstead as he gutted it out most of the season and made a huge difference. When he's in the whole lines better even if its part time.

Tua is a ? but he's young and can fight through this. We at least know he can play that was the goal this year. Either way I keep saying one QB is not enough these days always best to keep drafting. Bridge is def not the answer he can't make it through games even as a backup.
Armstead is not getting younger this offseason. He averages 8 games per year and is not worth the money.

All true on Tua but he must be medically cleared to play and he must have an insurance policy!
He comes back healthy and ready next year and gets a concussion early, the insurance company is going to be squirming, no?
They will have to decide if he is worth the risk because they can't cancel after he sustains a concussion.
Miami Management (should be) will have to decide if:
1) they think he can make it through the season.
2) He is worth the risk of multi-year contract
3) They want to be "responsible" for him destroying his brain on their dime.
4) A doctor wants to sign on the line saying, "No worries here"

It is much more complicated than , "can he play?"

I'm still in it for Mac. He needs a better system and game plan than we have provided this year. Fix that!
I like Zappe, yes. I'm not ready to make a switch - yet......
Hey fair enough. I can understand that

To circle back to this. WTF is NE doing. A DC running the offense, with a second year qb at the helm. Coupled with the pathetic supporting cast offensively. I say that truthfully. You guys know it. NE has done very little to put supporting pieces in place up there. Blow your money on TE's that you don't use. Your drafted wr's arent good. Your top WR is a converted qb. Don't get me wrong, I really like meyers, but hes a good wr3, a poor wr2, and an awful wr1. Theres not much else there in the receiving corps. Give your guy a chance to succeed.

When people bash Mac Jones. This is my 1st thought.

who is NE's DC?
Wonder if they just put him as an OC as a place holder to move him over? :noidea:
Never made sense putting him as an OC.

Lot of ifs. Every player in the NFL is an if. You have to roll the dice and have a better backup than Bridgewater. Draft another QB project if you must. Pickets had two concussions and no one says shit. Not to mention everyone else who's had concussions oh sorry it's only Tua. They find out next year just be better prepared.

Armstead I have to disagree. He's helped the team immensely even when he sits. For all we know he's healthier moving forward. We don't know. ..

NE doesn't have a named DC. Steve Belichick is the defacto DC. I wasn't sure if your question should've been in green font?

Speaking of green, do you prefer green or orange Kool Aid? Kids in Miami (I mean fans) prefer gallons of both.

I think he has now made a consious effort to avoid that after all the grief he received. I haven't seen him doing his meth addict impersination lately.

As much as I dislike his dad hirring him with no expirence and promoted so quickly, he hasn't done a bad job.
