It’s actually all very interesting now

1. Urban fires Smith
2. Goes to Big 10 media and denies prior knowledge
3. Text become public
4. Urban says that after 100s of press conferences he was unprepared for a question on Smith and words failed him (basically admitting he lied at Big 10 media day)
5. Sends out a letter saying he did the right thing and reported it to the admin

This is now interesting, because he is passing blame up the ladder. At this point it is hard to believe anything Meyer says. Administration is now in a tough spot, as the head coach just passed the blame at them. It will be interesting to see if the AD responds to Meyer

If he reported it and the higher ups did nothing. They deserve the blame. But right now there’s a lot of blanks. And a whole lot of media speculation. We literally live in an era where twitter can break a celebrity, public figure etc.....As of right now Zach Smith the right guy got fired. Not saying Urban wasn’t wrong if he ignored it. But zero tolerance applies to students. These are two adults were talking about. I don’t have a copy of Meyers contract to see how zero tolerance applies there. While I do think firing Smith was the right thing to do. I wouldn’t jump the gun on Meyers
