As a Tennessee fan why should I be excited by the season?

The plus side of being a fan of a bad team is that you catch a lot more great games from across the country.
Actually rebuilding years tend to be a lot less stressful and fun to watch the team progress (as long as they do). The absolute worst years are the ones where expectations are high and you shit the bed. That can be absolutely miserable and bad for your blood pressure.

I should have added, it's football man. It's fun to watch. Even in our worst years, there were always games where good things happened. Even in our 3-9 season, Michigan managed to knock off top 10 Wisconsin.

Most people are saying that it would be a HUGE Achievement to win 6 games. Once again we have the great gauntlet middle schedule with:

Florida, @ Georgia, Auburn, @ Alabama, and @ South Carolina

Lovely. What do I have to be even excited about? Why do I even watch college football?

It’s almost 2019. You mght have a D1 qb on your roster by then.

Oh wait this year?

Madre London is a load to bring down. He’ll probsbly have some fun power running highlights.

Callaway could be fun to watch.

Maybe a Jauan Jennings highlight or two?

That’s all I got

The last time Tennessee only won 4 games in one season, was Johnny Majors first year coaching, 1977.

The next season he went .500

It took him 11 years to reach a 10 win season.

I think you guys kicked him to the curb and fired him.
Then came Fulmer, and you fired that guy too.

Fast forward to now.
Good Luck

Hope that helped.

Gotta take it one game at a time. Right now I'm looking forward to breaking 2 guinness book of world records for the least amount of teeth inside a football stadium and most oxycontin eaten during a football game.

No you should skip the next 3 seasons and take up fishing.

And you could create an alt that doesn't show you as a Tennessee fan.

You could call it "Rather Be Fishing."

Wait, never mind, scratch that!

That's every year for me, at least lately.

You guys will probably beat South Carolina.

Because after all, they're still the Gamecocks.

Otherwise, lower expectations can be very, very liberating. Join me for a refreshing whiskey drink, and let's give no forks this season. That way, if they win 6 games you'll be pleasantly surprised

I guess you are referring to the season opener vs West Virginia? I don't expect the Vols to prevail in that one, but stranger things have happened.

UT should win vs ETSU, UTEP & Charlotte. They might be able to beat Florida (whoever loses that one will probably do so in heart-breaking fashion). A win vs. South Carolina is always a possibility, and the Vols rarely lose at home vs Kentucky. They should probably be better than Vandy by the end of the season, and they get Missouri at the end of a 3-game home stand.

Seven wins is possible, and maybe an 8th win in a bowl game. Not too likely, but very possible.

I really don't understand why an Auburn fan is talking trash. You guys lost to fucking UCF. You should be taking up fishing instead of on here trolling.

West Virginia has a proven QB but talking to a lot of their fans, they have questions in a lot of other positions. If we can find a way to generate offense and pressure Will Greer, we may have a chance.

Yeah considering we have a 6 game win streak on you I'm gonna go on record as saying any Auburn fan has plenty of right to talk UT trash.

Oh and I'll take a loss to an undefeated national champion UCF to having Mizzou hang 50 on my team and lose by 33. Missouri did that to you....shame.

At least we can beat Georgia Tech even in a 4-8 year. Last few times Auburn played the Yellow Jackets, they made you cry like little girls. Auburn rarely ever represents the SEC OOC by the way. If I can count on an SEC school to get smacked by a non-league school and embarrass the league, it is typically Auburn or Arkansas.

By the way at least Missouri is a Power 5 team. If an SEC school loses to a non-power 5 team, the players need to pull their pants down and check to see if they are still men. When was the last time Tennessee lost to a non-Power 5 school and how many times has All-Barn lost to non-Power 5 schools in that time frame?

Child please we've won a national championship, played for another and have 2 SEC titles this decade. You guys have barely showed up.
