I really admire Barilko's moves in this deal. I knew that I was giving up Thomas too easily, but him flipping Thomas and Andre for Graham totally blindsided me. Awesome move, IMO. It never occurred to me that Sox would have Graham in play. If it had, things might have played out differently.

Anyway, nice job Barilko! :suds:

thanks Chef....the flip worked well i think i paid a hair to much during the flip..however..the 2 deals combined
work well....I will miss Richardson..he isnt the stud he should be but then again a lot of rbs are not living up to pre season rankings Spiller..Foster..Martin.. ouch....

I am feeling somewhat better about my chances since Megatron is a surprise inactive.

However I wonder how much Calvin's absence is screwing up the rest of my Lions (and maybe even some Packers).

Hey Monkey, you checking your lineup today? VJax on a bye, and my offers on the table... you there?

sorry man, barely had time to get to my money leagues this past week, ended up not getting to my lineup in these 3 free leagues.

I'm way over extended between work life/real life/fantasy life right now. hoping things will slow down a little in work or real life so I can focus in on football, but cant make any promises.

With that being said, I feel like it would be a little unsporting of me to jump in and start trading away my players without first looking into my team/the league some more.

Apologize to everyone for not staying on top of my teams in KOTF, Suicide, Suicide Sleepers

Welcome back Mr. Blackmon
I drafted him all if not most of my 8 leagues in hopes that that's exactly what would happen when he returned. A double thank you Mr. Blackmon.

I will say that 1 huge thing that slows me down, is that these leagues are on ESPN, where the rest of my leagues are on yahoo and 1 still on cbs.

I am not calling for a change of venues, but just letting ya'll know that my time is limited right now.

ESPN is blocked at work so I don't get to check on the leagues as much as I can my CBS leagues.

ok so rodddy catches pass and fumbles and julio picks it up and adds 20 plus yards to the play so where does the 2 plus points go i have yet to see Julio get any credit for it...thoughts ...

Does a player get points for a fumble recovery? I doubt it, in a standard scoring league. Unless they consider it a run. Maybe a stat correction will take place. Patience my friend, patience.

Straight up standard scoring isn't going to score those 20yds. Scoring system would have to have "offensive fumble recovery" as , a category

Week 5 Report

Still the Main Story

The Family Cartel reasserted its dominance this week. Lefty spanked Duff 128-68 and now only has Treff for company at 4-1, while boasting a 6-game lead over Tlance in breakdown and 59-point lead in PF (also over Tlance). Bandit had a less impressive 101-78 win over Foot, has HaroldSeattle and dblake sharing the top record with him at 4-1, and has only a 15-point lead over JDM for PF - but has a striking 10-game lead over 2nd-place Microwahevo in breakdown.

The only imminent threat to either of these guys is Tlance in the A league, who beat wilwhite 113-89 on the strength of 20 pts each from his kicker and his D. Tlance has just as solid a hold on second place in both PF and breakdown as Lefty has on first place.

Lefty has broken the century mark every week this season, and only failed to score in the top three once.

A Tale of Two Goths

The Visigoths went 4-0 this week, while the Ostrogoths went 0-4. The Visigoths are now 5-3 outside of their division, the Huns 4-4, and the Ostrogoths 3-5. (All even at 4-4 in the A league.)

How the Other Half Lives

HaroldSeattle suffered his first loss as he needed 27 points out of Vernon Davis and Arian Foster and got 25 to lose to Microwahevo, 124-122 (Micro got Vicked but was rescued by Knowshon). Harold had three cruddy wins early despite paltry numbers, added a nice win last week, and this week he felt the true fantasy football pain as he had the second-highest score but still lost.

The rest of his division also lost; he still has the only two-game division lead in either league.

The Comeback Begins / Sampernick, Part Trois

Fuzzy finally broke through, beating Sam 90-76. The Fuzzies are still third in breakdown, and finally have a win to show for it. On the other side of the ledger, a bad fantasy game for Kaep once again equals a loss for Sam (2-3).

The Comeback Begins...?

The Drone finally rose to the level of mediocrity for a week and slipped past the up-and-down JDM 96-88 (JDM always scores <100 or >140) for her first victory. The Drone is not alone in last place in every power category any more, as she's been joined by Foot at the bottom of the breakdown rankings. (I've decided the Drone is a she. She is a ship, after all. Sure, she spits hot death, but some women are like that.)

Foot Falls

Foot started off fast - he was undefeated and tied for third in power ranking after week 2 - but his loss to Bandit puts him at three losses in a row, and he is now tied for 10th in power ranking. (These three losses follow his trading away Marshall, Lacy and the Seahawks D for Martin to Chef. Chef was 0-2 at the time and has won two of his last three. Maybe there's no connection though.)

The :gaah: Award

This week's award goes to TK, who went into the Monday night game 32 points behind Chef with Ryan and Gonzo to go. He got 31.

In Other Games

KOTF
Joe's Sloths rolled over Ram, 119-75
TKO got high score in both leagues for the week, beating Scape 132-84
Treff beat Smoking "VJAX All The Way!" Monkey, 90-67

BATG
Barilko pocketed the Marsupials, 113-60
dblake beat Sox, 114-102

Keepers of the Flame vs. Barbarians at the Gate

The Barbarians topped the Keepers of the Flame for the second week in a row, 1179-1131 (48 points). The KOTF lead has shrunk to 57 points, 5947-5890.
