Ok, maybe some of you guys can share a little advice; what do you consider a good team point-wise?

Is, say, 30 points for a QB considered elite? What is the standard for RB or WR? How much do you expect from the Flex or TE position to be considered good? I'm basing this on our MBBRL settings since I don't know much about PPR or other leagues...although i'd like to learn.

Still having a blast, though! I'm happier than a slinky on an escalator! Than a witch in a broom factory! I'm even happier than Eddie Money running a travel agency! :laugh3:

It's flucuated over the years.. but here's what I realistically hope for each week.
QB - 20-25
Rb1- 15-20
RB2- 10-15
WR1-10-15
WR2- 8-12
FLEX- 8-12
TE - 8-12
K- anything over 5 is bonus
DST- 10+

Just hitting those minimums would get you over 90 which is enough to have a realistic shot each week. So yes, I would consider anyone that consistently scores higher than that, an "elite" option at their respective positions. Consistently. . not occasionally

can't sum it up any better than that! ...so I won't.

Well TKO,

I felt a lot better about our match-up when Fitz was your WR2 instead of Green.

Thanks a lot Joe. You couldn't have waited a week?

I like the vote of confidence for Decker, but I actually drafted and hope Fitzgerald and Green respectively as WR1's. I was determined to get it done this week, with A.J. going to Buffalo where I'm sure he will bust out like Kate Upton in a bikini.

I'd trade a loss to see that in person any day... not AJ, but Kate

Treff,

I agree with the position analysis, but you are way too low on your kickers. Good kickers score over 10 points per game and low end options score 8-9 on average. It is unwise to invest in this position because they are unpredictable and very little separates the elite from the waiver fodder, but they can score very well.

Agreed.. but the unpredictability, and that very little seperates elite from average. .. that's why my expectations. .in this context. . were so low. Honestly I'd really want 10-12 but as long as I get 5 I'm not utterly disappointed. It's those weeks where your kicker doesn't even get a PAT.. even though he's supposedly elite are what really eat me up!

So Fred Jackson on my bench last week, walks in for two easy TD's against the Browns. This week, while he's in my lineup, he gets stuffed on 3 straight goal line carries. Gad Dommit!

Unfortunately, that's what the Bills do, Treff. Make you think there's a chance, then boom goes the dynamite! Between that one, the Pats in week 1, and the Brownies on Thursday (Browns punt game won that one), there's 3 very winnable games, for a shot at 5-1 instead of lucky to be 2-4. Bills football at its finest.

Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!

Now Thad Lewis in a walking boot... it's Tebow summoning the Gods, I know it.

Barring 47 from Trent and 42 from Keenan Allen, Fuzzy and Mr. White are doing their part to help me with my division! Thanks guys... now if I can just hold off Tlance's Woodhead and Hilton vs my Luck (and 21 point lead).

Back from SC. Auctioned off some of my moms property and some other stuff. Interesting process if you have never been to one. Got what she wanted so that's a good thing.

I see Master Wil of White laid some big numbers on poor ole Lefty. Unfortunately the two guys that have been carrying me had their poorest games. Manning apparently chose to make Knowshon the go to guy in the red zones which hurt me in this league - but helped get me victories in my $$ leagues. Graham with a big fat zero - didn't expect that - hope all the other teams don't use that same approach. On the plus side - my rent a RB for a week gave me more than I counted on.

Anyway, back on-board and ready for more battle. ..... Manning and company will be out to right the ship next week so I pity my next opponent. ....

An up weekend for my guys and a down weekend for your guys, Lefty... and it still may not be a blowout. Your team's pretty tough.

Certainly got more than I expected from Moreno. He's a great example of an okay player being in the right place at the right time with the right skill set and being a fantasy bonanza.

Well Wil, it is what it is - interestingly enough I have a lot of the same guys you have here in my $$ leagues so I'm glad they had good games - if Peyton and Graham just had their 'average' game it would be coming down to tonight so I'm not in a panic. .... although the news of an MRI on Graham's foot is a big worry. .....
